Psalms 35:1-28
[1](A Psalm of David.) Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
[2]Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
[3]Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
[4]Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
[5]Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.
[6]Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.
[7]For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.
[8]Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
[9]And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
[10]All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
[11]False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.
[12]They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.
[13]But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
[14]I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.
[15]But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:
[16]With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
[17]Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.
[18]I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

The Cost of Discipleship.

Romans 10:8-14 NKJV
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The dictionary defines submission as the action of accepting or yielding to a superior force or to the will or authority of another person. You can either be forced to submit or you can submit willingly.
Now can God force us to submit? Yes, he can, he is God but yet he does not do so because he wants us to willingly submit because we love him and we trust that he has a good plan for our lives.

When an individual responds to the good news by believing in Christ Jesus that he died on the cross for our sins and that God raised him from the dead and confessing thus with their mouth, then they are born again. That then becomes the starting point and not the destination for the process of discipleship to begin.

Jesus said that if we follow him, he will make us fishers of men. It is in the following by submitting to him and making him Lord of our lives that we are made into disciples. God is not just interested in saving us, he wants us to become disciples and in turn to go out and make disciples. Remember the commission that Jesus gave us before he ascended back to heaven was to go into all the earth and make disciples of all nations. You cannot make a disciple if you are not a disciple yourself because how then do you teach what you are not?

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall [b]direct your paths.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the fresh.

Believers, Walking in the Spirit literary means also to have movement in the Spirit.

When you check your speedometer, your mileage should register movement.

You were born as an infant,and you grew into adulthood which signifies movement in your life.

Therefore your spiritual journey should reflect growth and motion.

Your Spiritual movement should display maturity in all your dealings and doings.

Can you handle issues maturely?

Can you manage people maturely?

Can you manage your emotions maturely?

It is time that we live,move and grow in the Spirit.

Get Wisdom
Godly Wisdom

Once a student came to a wise sage and asked: “What is it that people lack to make the world a better place”?
“They lack the things that they do not ask for” he answered. And, seeing the perplexity on the student's face, he explained:
“What do people ask God for? Happiness, wealth, love, even talent – for the sake of success and fame. But did you hear that someone asked God to make him smarter or kinder or more loving?
The student thought and shook his head.
“That‘s it!” The sage said regretfully. “Everyone considers himself sufficiently intelligent, wise, and kind, and so the world does not become any smarter and kinder because most of us only ask for material things.
Leaving, the student repeated: “A Good mind and a loving heart that‘s what people do not think to ask for that’s what would make the world better.”
But the thought to start asking for it from himself did not occur to him.

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

If God was to give you a choice between wisdom and material possessions which one would you go for?
I know, I know, what you are thinking. You are thinking you would go for wisdom, right? But is that what you really go for? When was the last time you prayed and asked God to give you wisdom?
Most of the prayer requests I get online and on my radio and TV shows are about finances, better jobs, healing, marriage issues, business, and the like.

If God gave you a blank cheque, what would you write on it? King Solomon got such an opportunity and went for wisdom without thinking twice. God told him because he did not ask for riches and wealth but instead went for wisdom, God would give him both.
James tells us that he who lacks wisdom should ask God for it and God who gives generously to all will give it to you. I tend to think that one of the things that are available in abundance
