Dear Isabel,
Re: Our 9th Marriage Anniversary.
The Lord our God, according to His divine plan, has ordained May 28th of every year as our Marriage Anniversary. Since our marriage, I have consistently viewed and assessed your presence in my life through the lens of God's word, in which our sure delight resides.
Proverbs 21:9 AMP version tells me that,
"It is better to live in a corner of the housetop [on the flat roof, exposed to the weather] Than in a house shared with a quarrelsome (contentious) woman."
The Scripture above, is a proverbial phrase that highlights the challenges of living with someone who is quarrelsome or contentious. It suggests also that even a difficult or uncomfortable living situation, such as being exposed to the elements on a housetop, might be more preferable than sharing a home with someone who creates a stressful or argumentative environment.
The same Scripture also emphasizes the importance of peace and harmony in one's living situation, implying that a peaceful environment, even if physically challenging, is more desirable than a comfortable but contentious one.
Reflecting on our nine-year marital journey, I have never considered seeking refuge elsewhere. Your loving presence provides me with a sense of security and comfort, a sanctuary from the turmoil of the world. You have transformed our home into a peaceful haven, where I can find solace and relaxation. Despite the numerous challenges we have faced, your wisdom and charm have consistently inspired me to persevere, overcome adversity, and emerge stronger. Whenever the world outside seemed overwhelming for me, you made our home a tranquil retreat, where I could recharge and gather the strength to confront new challenges. Our children, Theophilus, Yoel, Eurielle, and El'emunah are a testament to your love and dedication, and I am confident that they will accomplish great things in the future, through God. I am committed to celebrating our love and relationship, and I look forward to many more years together with you, guided by our faith in God through Christ Jesus. You are truly blessed, and I am grateful to have you as my partner. I love you, Isabel.
Happy 9th Marriage Anniversary to us, in Jesus' name. Amen.
