Wrong Judgement : An Erroneous view of Others
“‘For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you’” (Matthew 7:2).

Most people feel free to judge other people harshly because they erroneously think they are somehow superior. The Pharisees considered themselves exempt from judgment because they believed they perfectly measured up to the divine standards. The problem was that these weren’t divine standards—they were mere human standards they had established far short of God’s holy and perfect law.

When we assume the role of final, omniscient judge, we imply that we are qualified to judge—that we know and understand all the facts, all the circumstances, and all the motives involved. Therefore, when we assert our right to judge, we will be judged by the same standard of knowledge and wisdom we claim is ours. If we set ourselves up as judge over others, we cannot plead ignorance of the law in reference to ourselves when God judges us. We are especially guilty if we do not practice what we ourselves teach and preach.

Other people are not under us, and to think so is to have the wrong view of them. To be gossipy, critical, and judgmental is to live under the false illusion that those whom we so judge are somehow inferior to us.

This kind of judgment is a boomerang that will come back on the one who judges. Self-righteous judgment becomes its own gallows, just as the gallows Haman erected to execute the innocent Mordecai was used instead to hang Haman (Esther 7:10).

Ask Yourself

One of the more notable qualities of our sinful human nature is that the sins we seem quickest to judge in others are the ones we struggle the hardest with ourselves. Why do you think this is the case? What brings about this touchy sensitivity and indignance?

Devotees of Christ, Paul urges us to teach all men about the life of Christ. Too many of us are selfish, willing to quietly believe and not get our hands dirty in attempts to make others believe. Paul got his hands dirty and ended up paying with his life. Do you think he regrets any of it now that he is sitting in heaven with God? Its oir turn to spread the good news of our Lord Jesus, especially these very tough days we live.

Lord in heaven, I must honor Your commandments and join You in the afterlife. I have been silent too often, Abba Father, unwilling to discuss my faith with You for fear of alienating others or for sounding arrogant. Why would I not share the most precious loving relationship that I have ever known? I am certainly a fool, forgive me. Today, with this prayer, I ask myself and You, powerful God, to aid us the New Generation Fellowship in our journey, and I hope that we can aid others in theirs, on our quest for everlasting life In Christ Jesus, Amen.

2 Corinthians 4:18

‘So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.’

- What we focus our attention on is vitally important for our wellbeing, for a moment to make ourselves happy.
- If we are consumed by the troubles of the day, it will undermine our faith, because its not our duty to worry but believe since non of us knew we would be here this morning.
- So let’s choose to fix our eyes on the Lord, and His eternal love and care for us, because he can never let us down, or turn his face the other side away from us.
- He is eternal and what He does, no man can hinder or stop, i want to remind you that God has good plans for you, to prosper and have good health with good life, so do not worry yourself with the current disaster in the world(Covid). It will all be well, let us just keep our faith and trust in the Lord.

PRAYER: Lord, help me not to get overwhelmed by the things that I see and hear going on around me concerning my life as a believer, the world as it is, my financial status, my health, my children not attending to their education, my business's poor performance, my broken up family and so on. May my heart and my mind constantly be reminded of Your ongoing lovingkindness and tender mercies towards me in the name of Jesus i pray this prayer for all the New Generation Family...... Amen!

Have an awesome Thursday.

Psalm 112:4

‘Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.’

- Life is a series of seasons through which we pass, different and varying seasons.
- Some seasons are filled with light, hope and positive expectations like when you set up a business, or see your daughter or son grow into a youth, or get married etc.
- Some seasons are difficult and it is like going through a storm, but with faith we keep going.
- No matter what we go through, His light will arise on us as we follow Him, for his Mercy endures forever, His Love is unfailing, unconditional, lets not forget he has our master plan, the blue prints of our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the promise of Your light in our lives, a promise you have not forgotten or broken. No amount of darkness can extinguish the light that comes from You, for you are the light of men. I ask that You will flood our life with Your light this year, that we may sprout and come out of the covid situation more focused and stronger, better believers and your good humble servants, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Have a great weekend brethren.

- Receive His strength right now, and let it fill your heart so that you may see every challenge as an opportunity.

- HE is the One Who gives us the breakthrough and the victory, and in the end when all this is over you will be jubilating.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You that we can look to You for our strength, when ever we see things stuck and going wrong, Thank You that we can run to You to defend and protect us when our enemies are all over us in every corner, and thank You for the victory and security You give us every other day, In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Shalom! Shalom!
Psalm 37:5

‘Commit your way to the LORD; Trust in Him also and He will do it.’

- There comes a time when we need to let go and let God take over.
- It is a time when we give in and surrender ourselves completely to Him.
- When we reach this place of complete surrender then we can enjoy peace.
- As we release our ways into His hands, He can bring about His purposes.

PRAYER: Lord, I commit my life, my future, and my ways and every one on this platform to You today. I will trust You and that trust gives me the hope and expectation that You will work in my and every new generation member's situation, for your Glory and your Kingdom, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Have a blessed day

Genesis 49:18
‘Our LORD, I am waiting for You to save us.’

- Sometimes, between our prayers and the answer, there is a waiting period.
- Noah had to wait for the flood to pass.
- David had to wait until the threat on his life was removed.
- So let us keep on believing, keep on trusting and keep on living with hope, covid will end.

PRAYER: Lord, we look to You and we know that You are the only One that can turn the tide and change the situation, for our health, our security, our businesses, our families and loved ones above all our nation. As we wait for You to move, we choose to trust and to not be afraid, in Jesu's name Amen.

Psalm 117:2

‘For great is HIS love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.’

- The great and unfailing love of God towards you will never stop.
- To know that we are loved by God is a powerful thought.
- No matter what we may face or go through, His love endures forever.
- He is your eternal God and His mercy and kindness towards you is great.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your great love for us. We receive Your love for us as a living reality, in spite of the storm that is raging around us, with Covid taking so much from us, from our loved ones to businesses as well as our livelihood. Except for your Grace and Mercy and Your love for us that is eternal! We Glorify you, Worship and Praise Your Holy Name, Amen.

Grace, Mercy and Favour upon you all.

Continuation...
Therefore, his father came out and pleaded with him. So, he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’”
The parable of the prodigal son is the most familiar and beloved of all Christ’s parables. It is one of the longest and most detailed parables. And unlike most parables, it has more than one lesson. The prodigal is an example of sound repentance. The elder brother illustrates the wickedness of most of our self-righteousness, prejudice, and indifference toward repenting sinners.
Our reading today has two sons, both suffering from an anxiety issue. The younger suffers from; Fear of missing Out, feeling that there was more to life “out” there than “in” here, he leaves to seek out the good times, to live in the fast lane, and to be in control of his own destiny. The older son suffers from; Fear of Messing Up. He feels that he’s “never” strayed, but has “always” worked hard and obeyed the rules.
Perhaps we can relate to both boys. Maybe we left God our Father for the “busy-ness” of life, going for the glamour of riches or prestige. Or maybe we’re plodding along in our church attendance out of a sense of guilt. Yet, in both instances, we’re left with feelings of emptiness, frustration, and insecurity. What’s missing? The Gospel!
The father pictures God, eager to forgive, and longing for the return of the sinner. The main feature, however, is the joy of God, the celebrations that fill heaven when a sinner repents.Father, as you welcome me, help me to welcome others. Amen

Father!
Luke 15:11-32,
Then he said: “A certain man had two sons. And the young of them said to his father, ‘Father give me the portion of good that falls to me’. So, he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possession with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into the fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’ “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry. “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So, he called out one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’ “But he was angry and would not go in. Behold!
Mathew 2:1-12,
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herold the King, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
When Herold the King heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
So, they said to him, “In Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.”
Then Herold, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared.
And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.”
When they hear the King, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to him: gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh.
Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herold, they departed for their own country another way.
Psalms 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do his commandments. His praise endures forever.
When God uses the word Behold in His Word, it’s to alert us that something incredible or wonderful is coming or about to be revealed, as with the wise men in today’s verse. Why were they called wise? Because their wisdom was trusting god’s word.
Lord, grant me Your Wisdom this day as I share Your incredible love. Amen
