Shepherd's Heart International Ministry (SHIM) is based in the east African country of Uganda on Lingira Island, one of 52 islands in the Buvuma Island chain in the northern part of Lake Victoria. THE NETS ARE FULL: A GREAT CATCH!

Jesus told His disciples, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat,” and when they obeyed, the catch was more than they could handle (John 21:6).

Today, we testify that obedience is producing fruit. God is drawing hearts, opening doors, and expanding the reach of the Gospel through SHIM. What we are witnessing is not by human strength, but by divine direction and grace.

We are already engaged in the work of the Lord, teaching, reaching, building, and discipling. The nets are being cast, and lives are being gathered into the Kingdom. This is a season of fruitfulness, faith, and faithful labor.

Thank you to everyone praying, giving, and standing with us.
The harvest is ready, and together, we will not draw back.

What a joyful moment for us at SHIM! 💍
One of our own raised and nurtured within our family of children and staff has taken a beautiful step into marriage. Our hearts are full as we witness this testimony of growth, restoration, and God’s faithfulness.

We are honored to share this joy with you, our dear followers and partners. Thank you for walking this journey with us, praying with us, and believing in the futures we are building together.

We thank God for 2025.
As we gathered to celebrate and enjoy time together as the SHIM family, our hearts were filled with gratitude. Truly, God has been good to us.

Through every challenge and every victory, He sustained us, strengthened our unity, and reminded us that this work is not just a duty but a calling. We are thankful for each member of staff who served with faithfulness, sacrifice, and love.

As we send off our team, we do so with joy and appreciation celebrating the memories made, the lives touched, and the bonds that continue to grow. May the Lord go before you, reward your labor, refresh your strength, and lead you into the new season with hope and purpose.

We remain one family.

Expectant for what God will do next.

During our recent camp with our sponsored students, we gave each group a simple but eye-opening exercise: create a short skit about theft in the community.

One group told a story using something as ordinary as a skirt but the message was far from ordinary.
