WELCOME TO ANOINTED PRAYER TOWER CHURCH SUNDAY SERVICE.
BY PASTOR CALEB DRAKE NAHABWE.
What Does It Mean to Seek God?
Beloved, the Word of God tells us, “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.” — Jeremiah 29:13.
Seeking God is not a passive desire; it is a deliberate, wholehearted pursuit of the One who created us, loves us, and calls us deeper. It is possible to have God within you, yet still feel empty when you stop pursuing Him. But when we seek Him—truly seek Him—our souls awaken, our spirits are stirred, and our lives begin to reflect His glory.
Seeking God is the journey of every believer who longs for intimacy, transformation, and divine direction.
SIX WAYS OF SEEKING GOD
1. Prayer and Calling on God
Seeking God begins with prayer, a cry from the heart, a longing for His presence.
Through prayer, we:
- Cry out to God with mercy
- Seek Him to reveal His ways.
- Desire to dwell in His presence.
- Long to see His glory.
- Ask Him to shape His character within us.
- Pursue deep intimacy with Him
- Seek His guidance
- Ask for His wisdom
- Seek deeper understanding of His Word
- Ask for grace to walk in righteousness
- Seek personal transformation
- Trust Him for provision
- Seek deliverance in areas of bo***ge
- Ask for strength
- Seek to be filled with His love
Prayer is not just speaking, it is seeking, surrendering, and aligning our hearts with His.
2. Scripture
A true seeker is a student of the Word.
To seek God is to study His love, His character, His promises, and His instructions.
Meditating on Scripture opens our eyes, renews our minds, and anchors our faith.
3. Worship and Praise
Worship is the language of seekers.
Praise lifts our spirits, breaks chains, and draws us into the presence of God.
When we worship, we declare that God is worthy, holy, and above all things.
4. Obedience, Even When It Hurts
Romans 12:2 teaches us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
A seeker must be ready to obey God even when it is painful.Like Abraham (Ibrahim), who surrendered his son in obedience, true seekers trust God beyond their emotions. Obedience is the highest form of worship.
5. Repentance
Seeking God requires a pure heart.
Repentance is turning away from evil and crying out, “Lord, cleanse me.”
Repentance restores fellowship, renews joy, and opens the door for God to move.
6. Listening to God’s Voice
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”
A seeker must quiet the noise of life and be ready to hear God’s voice.
His voice brings peace, direction, correction, and revelation.
Seeking God is not a moment, it is a lifestyle.
It is waking up each day with a heart that says,
“Lord, I want more of You.”
As preached at Anointed Prayer Tower Church under Pastor Caleb Drake, may this message stir a fresh hunger in you. May your pursuit of God be deep, intentional, and transformative. And may your soul awaken to the fullness of His presence.
