THE HELMET OF SALVATION I - ASSURANCE OF SALVATION

In this warfare, our helmet is the assurance of salvation.

Biblically, salvation means being rescued or delivered from danger, suffering, and especially from sin and its consequences (death and separation from God) through faith in Jesus Christ, resulting in eternal life, forgiveness, restoration, and a new, holy life in God's presence, encompassing both spiritual and physical well-being. It's a gift from God, achieved through Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection, freeing people from sin's penalty and power.

Just imagine what Jesus has done for us, but the enemy would want us to believe that we are still under curses and condemnation. He knows that if we are still ignorance of this powerful truth, we are weak and cannot overcome him.

Therefore, salvation secures the believer's identity and guards the mind against condemnation. We no longer lives like rebels before God. We are set free and forgiven from all our sins. We have become the new creatures. Hallelujah!

In this warfare, the devil would want to confuse our conscience to think like our old self. But we refuse to think like our old self. We are new, we are forgiven, we are set free and we are the righteousness in Christ Jesus.

THE SHIELD OF FAITH V - CORPORATE FAITH

In this warfare, your enemy can combine forces against you such that you become afraid and loose focus on the battle.

After the death of Jesus, the enemy rose the chief priests and rulers to war against the disciples of Jesus. Battles were coming from all corners. This made the disciples to become feeble. But I thank God, that the Apostles and the church came together and prayed with unity and God filled everyone with the Holy Spirit and they were filled with boldness to preach with miracles, signs and wonders.

In this warfare, refuse to get detached from the entire team. Pray together with one accord and all shall win. The enemy will try to detach you in whatever way possible, but Jesus has already prayed for us, “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” John 17:20-21.

Therefore, oneness in faith is one of the most powerful strategies in overcoming the enemy. As a family, or a church, or an organization, pray in oneness of faith. Never allow the enemy to scatter you. He may not scatter you physically, but spiritually he may succeed in scattering you if you are not careful. Your enemy hates seeing you praying together with your wife, children, church members, colleagues at workplace, because he knows what united faith is capable of doing. Say no to him, and embrace oneness in faith as you pray. Hallelujah!

PEARL OF WISDOM: Oneness in faith is one of the most powerful strategies in overcoming the enemy. As a family, or a church, or an organization, pray in oneness of faith. Never allow the enemy to scatter you.

PRAYER: Loving Father in the name of Jesus, thank you so much for this truth. Help us to accommodate one another, such that we may embrace oneness of faith as we go on with waging war in the kingdom of darkness. Fill us with the Spirit of forgiveness and boldness, such that we may continue in oneness now and forever, Amen.

THE SHIELD OF FAITH III - FAITH FOR MIRACLES

In this warfare, your enemy will at times raises mountains against you. These mountains can be sickness, ministries failure, marital failure, business failure, etc. This is because your enemy wants you to focus at those mountains such that you loose focus at defeating him. A number of soldiers of Christ quit at this moment and the enemy wins.

When things are at this stage, lift your eyes on Jesus. Remember that he has given you enough faith, to speak to the mountain to leave your way. Our theme scripture says, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

Jesus has given us faith to speak to the mountains. Instead of focusing at how big the mountain is, focus on Jesus and by faith speak to the mountain to leave. This will keep you focus at the warfare and fail to get destructed by your enemy.

THE SHIELD OF FAITH II - FAITH AGAINST FEAR

In this warfare, fear is one of the greatest weapon that our enemy uses. He will try to do so many things such that by all means fear may enter in us.

The scripture says, “Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” This prophecy was given out by prophet Isaiah when the children of Israel were going through the hardest moment in their time. They were already in captivity in Babylon. Others were scattered abroad among the many tribes in the land of Cannan. From this point, no one could see any hope of going back to build home again. Yet God said, fear not.

When things seems hard, not working, confusing, this is when you should remember the working of faith. Refuse to fear. Gather your strength and believe by faith that it will work. Never accept to be destructed by fear.

Fear will tell you that you won't make it, but faith will keep telling you that it is working. Refuse to fear, choose faith over fear.

FURTHER STUDY: Psalms 118:6, Isaiah 41:10.

PEARL OF WISDOM: When things seems hard, not working, confusing, this is when you should remember the working of faith. Refuse to fear. Gather your strength and believe by faith that it will work. Never accept to be destructed by fear.

PRAYER: Loving Father in the name of Jesus, thank you so much for the gift of faith that causes me to conquer fear. Thank you for exposing out fear in me that would cause me fail. I am more than a conquerer in Jesus name, Amen.

THE SHIELD OF FAITH

In this warfare, we really need the shield. This is because the darts that our enemy releases are not ordinary. They are fiery. Our shield is faith.

Nothing in this physical realm can shield us from the fiery darts of our enemy. Just imagine Job. A man who had everything life can offer, but in the space of few hours all is gone. What do we call that? If Job was not a man of faith, he would have fainted and died.

In this warfare, the enemy can plan the worst thing than what happened to Job. But faith will shield you up. Few years ago, I lost my marriage and a job that used to pay me well within the same month and week. Literally, I became a homeless-jobless man. That was the trick of the enemy to bring me down. But I kept my faith alive. I never doubted God. I believed that all was going to be okay.

In whatever you will be going through, keep your faith alive. It is that faith which is the shield, such that what the enemy fires does not get us. It may get ugly and worse, but keep your faith alive. God will never allow the enemy to defeat you.

FURTHER STUDY: Job 1: 13-22, Romans 10:11.

PEARL OF WISDOM: Nothing in this physical realm can shield us from the fiery darts of our enemy. It is that faith which is the shield, such that what the enemy fires does not get to us.

PRAYER: Loving Father in the name of Jesus, thank you so much for this truth. Thank you for the gift of faith. It does not matter what I go through, Jesus got my back. I can't fail in Jesus name, Amen.

SHOES OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE

In this warfare, the gospel of peace is our shoes. Peace is really very necessary in this warfare. This is because the devil knows that a child of God without peace is really very vulnerable.

So, the Apostle Paul wrote and said, “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;” Your feet should be shode ready to preach the gospel of peace. The house of Job was one happy and most peaceful family. The enemy attacked and within few hours, everything was scattered apart.

The devil thought he had finished him. But that wasn't the case, because he destroyed Job's properties but not his peace. When a man's peace is intact, the devil knows he can do nothing.

Therefore, in this warfare, guard your peace. As long as your peace is guarded, you have not yet failed in this battle. But when you allow the enemy to attack your peace, that is when defeat now comes in.

This is the reason why praises becomes one of the most powerful weapon of war. Praises guard your peace. When the enemy wants to attack your peace, you protect it with the heart full of praises.

The enemy will bring heavy storms, but just declare to it, "peace! be still.”

When you learn how to guard your peace, you will surely win this battle. The enemy you are fighting is not strong, but too much tactical. Just know his tactics and he is done.

FURTHER STUDY: Psalms 46:6-11, Mark 4:39.

PEARL OF WISDOM: In this warfare, guard your peace. As long as your peace is guarded, you have not yet failed in this battle. But when you allow the enemy to attack your peace, that is when defeat now comes in.

PRAYER: Loving Father in the name of Jesus, thank you so much for this truth. Please guard my inner peace against the attack of the enemy. Let peace rule every decision that I take, in Jesus name, Amen.

BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

In fighting the warfare in this kingdom, our breastplate is righteousness.

Biblically, righteousness means living in right relationship with God, characterized by moral uprightness, justice, and obedience to His standards, both as a divine attribute of God and a state humans can receive through faith in Jesus Christ, becoming His likeness and pursuing a life of integrity, honesty, and love for others. This therefore means that our righteousness is not earned by what we have done for ourselves, but on what Christ has done for us on the Cross of Calvary.

In this warfare, the devil will try to pull you down, by bringing into your mind the thought of defeat especially when you remember the kind of life you lived before knowing Christ. He would want you to think that you are still under the bo***ge of sin.

When such thought comes, just remember what Christ has done for you, and declare it. Tell the devil that it doesn't matter how worse you lived your life earlier, but you are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. This truth is our breastplate of righteousness. The devil can't resist it.

Above all, know that you are no longer a rebel. You are a child of God and a child of promise. You have received the right standing with God, through faith in Christ Jesus.

FURTHER STUDY: Romans 1:7, 3:22, 5:1, 2 Corinthians 5:21.

PEARL OF WISDOM: Righteousness is not earned by what we have done for ourselves, but on what Christ has done for us on the Cross of Calvary.

PRAYER: Loving Father in the name of Jesus, thank you so much for this truth. I thank you for your righteousness that put me in the right standing with God. I am no longer a rebel but a son to the Kingdom. I am no longer a slave to sin, but a son, in Jesus name, Amen.

THE BELT OF TRUTH

One of the most important things to know is to understand the importance of truth in our warfare. We live in a world full of deceptions. This gives our adversary a higher chance of getting us.

The scripture says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32. Unfortunately, most of the things the scripture refers to it as true are not scientifically correct. And cannot be scientifically verified. This is the reason why the things of faith is foolishness to many.

The scientists does not believe that sicknesses are brought by the devil. They don't know that sickness is one of the devil's tactics in the warfare. The devil brings sicknesses to destruct us from focusing at the warfare.

In this warfare, understand that only the word of God is true. And therefore girt thy loin only with the word of God. Take your time to diagnose everything by the scripture. That's how you will get your adversary the devil so well. And above all embrace the integrity, light and the revelation of every word that comes to you.

PEARL OF WISDOM: In this warfare, understand that only the word of God is true. And therefore girt thy loin only with the word of God. Take your time to diagnose everything by the scripture. That's how you will get your adversary the devil so well.

PRAYER: Loving Father in the name of Jesus, thank you so much for opening my eyes today to see the reality of this truth. Thank you for your word which is my belt, that makes me to stand firm in the battle field. I know that the devil is a liar, and I will never fall for his lies in Jesus name, Amen.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. [KJV]

UNDERSTANDING THE BATTLE

When one becomes a soldier, and perhaps he is taken to the battle field, one of the orientations one will receive is the orientation to know the kind of battle he/she is up there to fight. This includes, understanding the enemy himself, the weapon he uses, his team and the tactics he uses in the battle. When the soldier is not orientated in this areas, you can be very sure that he/she will not make it alive from the battle field.

This is applied to us dear children of God. The day we became born again we became the soldier of Christ. Because of this, we must need to understand our enemy, the battle we fight with him and his tactics in the battle.

The Christians of Ephesians had becomes the soldiers of Christ but lacked all these basic knowledge about the warfare. The Apostle Paul wrote to help them understand. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].”

A soldier who doesn't understand his enemy ends up shooting even the civilians who are harmless. This is the same with us soldiers of Christ. One of the tactics our enemy uses is to hide his battle through the people around us. He doesn't come to fight us physically. He enter the people around us to fight us through them. This is the kind of our battle. Many people ends up fighting flesh and blood because they don't know the strategies of the enemy.

Child of God, take it intentional to understand the kind of battle you fight. This will help you to fight smartly and observe rules of the warfare.

FURTHER STUDY: Daniel 10:12-13, 2 Timothy 2:3.

PEARL OF WISDOM: A soldier who doesn't understand his enemy ends up shooting even the civilians who are harmless. This is the same with us soldiers of Christ. One of the tactics our enemy uses is to hide his battle through the people around us. He doesn't come to fight us physically. He enter the people around us to fight us through them. This is the kind of our battle.

PRAYER: Loving Father in the name of Jesus, open my eyes to discern spiritual realities. Grant me wisdom to understand satanic strategies such that I may not fight flesh and blood, and helps me to receive angelic assistance in my battle, in Jesus name, Amen.

A CALL TO SPIRITUAL STRENGTH

The scripture says in Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.”

Spiritual warfare begins with divine strength, not human energy. But most times humans wants to fight their warfare by their own abilities. This is the reason why many Christians does not finish the warfare alive.

As children of God, we must know that we are in a constant warfare. This means sometimes our strength becomes low. This is the time you need God so much. You need to wait on him. You need to allow him direct your whereabouts.

But the good news is that you are more than conqueror in Jesus name.

FURTHER STUDY: Isaiah 40:31, Romans 8:37.

PEARL OF WISDOM: As children of God, we must know that we are in a constant warfare. This means sometimes our strength becomes low. This is the time you need God so much. You need to wait on him. You need to allow him direct your whereabouts.

PRAYER: Loving Father in the name of Jesus, thank you so much for calling me to live in divine strength. I reject spiritual weakness and fatigue in Jesus name, Amen.
