*Today's word*
Isa 40:29-31 KJV

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Lessons:
As we wait on the Lord in prayer and fasting, we will not faint or grow weary.

There's an anointing to renew our strength like that of an eagle.

The eagle is one of the most unique birds. It's a symbol of the prophetic anointing.

1. An eagle doesn't mix with other birds
2. It has very sharp eyes to locate it's prey from afar
3. It has vision and focus
4. It knows how to soar against the storms
5. It can hide in the rocks for months to shade off the old feathers and only comes out when new fresh feathers have grown.
6. It doesn't eat rotten flesh, it hunts for fresh flesh.

As you wait on the Lord, be like an eagle.

*Word for Today*
1Ki 19:7-8 ISV 7 Later, the angel of the LORD came a second time, grabbed him, and said “Get up! Eat! The journey ahead is too difficult for you!”

8 So Elijah got up, ate and drank, and survived on that one meal for 40 days and nights as he set out on his journey to Horeb, God’s mountain.

Elijah was running away from Jezebel and the Angel of the Lord met him when he was so tired and hungry. He was given supernatural bread that sustained him for 40 days and nights.

Lessons:
1. Whatever may be causing you to flee, God will always be with you.
2. His angel will give you strength in your weakness
3. The bread is the word of God which we must eat all the time
4. His word will sustain us for a long time
5. Jesus said man cannot live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
6. During these 40 days of prayer and fasting, let us eat the word of God daily like Elijah ate the bread from the angel.
