*UNLOCKING THE MYSTERY OF THE TRINITY GODHEAD*
Ever since my childhood, I've been grappling with the concept of the Trinity. The Bible teaches us to worship one God, yet it also speaks of three divine persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This has often left me perplexed.
Of these three divine persons, whom should we worship? I believe the Holy Spirit has revealed a small secret to me about the Trinity.
Let’s examine Genesis 1:2, where God says, “Let us make man in our image.” This plural form suggests that more than one divine person was involved in creation. However, it doesn't specify the exact number.
Similarly, in Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands His disciples to baptize “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” While this affirms the distinctness of each person, it doesn't fully explain their relationship.
But my question is: Where were Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit when God was creating everything in the beginning?
The Holy Spirit has guided me to Genesis 1:2, which states, "And the Spirit of God hovered over the waters." This suggests that the Holy Spirit was active in creation.
Furthermore, John 1:1-2 tells us, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." When we connect this with 1 John 5:7-8, we see that there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.
This leads us to the conclusion that there are indeed three divine persons, each fully God.
However, the question of whom to address in prayer remains a complex one, which we may explore in another discussion.
May the Holy Spirit continue to reveal the mysteries of the kingdom to you.
