FAITH: THE ACCESS TO GRACE

The primary definition of grace is that it is God’s enablement, the power that rests on an individual and causes them to do what they could not do in their own strength.

There is always a certain measure of grace required for anyone who seeks to live up to God’s standard in any area of life.

So how do we access the grace we need? Our theme Scripture teaches: _“It is of faith, that it might be by grace.”_ This means that for every measure of grace you desire, all that is required is faith to receive it.

In its simplest form, faith is _“the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”_ (Hebrews 11:1). You need to believe that the grace you require is already available. Stop asking anxiously and come into a mindset of thanksgiving. That is how faith works.

God has already supplied all things by His grace. Your role is to take hold of His promises by faith, trusting that all things are already working together for your good.

Today, choose to step out in faith rather than fear or self-effort. Speak God’s promises over your life, give thanks for the grace already provided, and act in the confidence that His enablement will equip you for every challenge. Let your faith become the channel through which God’s grace flows unhindered.

Hebrews 10:7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book."

A LIFE SCRIPTED BY GOD

The birth of our Lord Jesus demonstrated the many sides of the wisdom of God.

In our theme scripture, at what should have been the start of His ministry, Jesus makes a declaration that He has come to do the will of God, as it is written of Him in the scroll of the book.

The “scroll of the book” represents the complete plan of everything He was to go through. He could not come until the whole plan of His life had been laid out.

God does not send anyone to earth without a preordained purpose. Your being here is evidence enough that there is a purpose for you to accomplish. Jesus’ birth clearly demonstrated this truth.

Isaiah 46:10 teaches that God declares the end from the beginning.

Therefore, cultivate a heart shaped by humble trust and yielded obedience. Just as Christ embraced the will of God that was written concerning Him, you too must submit your life to God’s divine purpose.

Even when the path is unclear, you can walk in confidence, knowing that the One who planned your beginning has already secured your end.
