+ “When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom.
Proverbs 11:2

+ Humility is the virtue of heaven but it is difficult because
Since Adam’s fall
our nature tend to lean toward pride—seeking recognition, control, and self-importance.

+ True humility cannot be acquired by listening to sermons🎓
It is caught. It is formed quietly within us when we walk closely with someone who lives it.

+ In today’s Gospel, when the disciples encounter Jesus Christ, they ask, “Where are you staying?”
Come,’ he replied, ‘and you will see.’
So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him.
John1:38-39

They went, they stayed, and their lives were changed.
This is the secret of humility:not striving to become lowly, but staying close to the One who is humble—

+ The only way to acquire humility it is :to follow Jesus and stay with Him “The Lamb of God “

+ To Follow Him is to Live with Him and absorb His Life and learn His Heart
To learn His heart is to walk in “the way of the Lamb” a path of gentleness, surrender, and quiet strength.

+ Stay with Him today. In silence, in prayer, in your daily actions—choose humility.Walk gently. Listen more. Surrender quietly. And let His life be formed in you.

+ “God looks down from heaven on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt;
there is no one who does good, not even one.” (Psalm 53:2–3)

Joshua 15:1–16:10
John 1:1–28
Psalm 53:1–6

+ By God’s Justice
We all deserved death because our nature became corrupted and inclined to evil

+ By God’s Mercy
He gave us a second chance—He came to redeem us, restore us, and make us His adopted children

“He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name,
he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:11–12)

+ Prayer
Lord, I thank You every morning for coming into my darkness.
Help me to live for You as a true child of the Light

MEDITATION ON THE GOSPEL OF ST JOHN

John 8:31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.”

What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? It is not a person who believes that Jesus existed, or even that he probably spoke some wise words, nor even is it someone who believes that in some way he was the Son of God. It is someone who makes every effort in every day to hear the words of Christ, and put them into practice, whatever the cost, and who walks with Jesus and lives with Jesus in all the different aspects of their lives. If we are to abide in his word it is not enough to hear it. We must become rooted in what it says to us, so that it is a firm foundation for our life.

To abide in his word is not the same as hearing it at some time and being influenced by it for a time in our life. It is to persevere, whatever the cost, in living out the Good News which Jesus preaches and teaches, so that his life becomes our life. The disciple cannot say, I will follow Jesus for while, or I will be obedient to his words but only this far. The disciple follows his Master to the very end and endures every trial for the sake of his presence. It was not enough for the people around Jesus to be excited by him or even inspired by some of the things he said. To be a disciple means to remain with Jesus, to seek to be with him, in every moment.

It is easy for us to become a convert, even if we are born into a Christian family. We can believe in Jesus, and know many of the stories in the Bible, and even make an effort to pray. We can consider ourselves a Christian, because we have been baptised and attend the Church services. We can make an effort to be a better person. But the Lord Jesus, God himself made man without change, asks us to become his disciple. Will we follow him today, in everything we do? Will we seek his presence with as unceasing prayer as possible? Will we endure and persevere in whatever difficulties we face, so that our faith is not shaken. To be a disciple is to follow Jesus and in following him we discover what it is to be truly Christian.

+ Jesus doesn’t rebuke them for doubting—he invites them to move from fear to recognition.

they still didn’t believe because of joy and amazement. So even their mixed emotions—fear, doubt, wonder—are all held in that encounter. Jesus stays with them through it.

“Whenever you doubt… look at His wounds”

It’s almost like Jesus is saying:
“Don’t try to solve everything in your mind first—come closer, look again, stay with me.”

+ Whenever you doubt God’s special love for You
Look at His wounds
the sure sign of His love
That’s why He kept them after His resurrection
Has anyone proved his Love to you like He did ?

“I trust in God’s unfailing love
for ever and ever.
for what you have done I will always praise you
in the presence of your faithful people.
And I will hope in your name,
for your name is good.”

+ On the road to Emmaus, the disciples walked with Jesus… yet didn’t recognise Him.
“Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; but they were kept from recognising him.” (Luke 24:15–16)

Joshua 11:1–12:24
Luke 24:1–35
Psalm 51:10–19

+ They had the Scriptures. They heard the truth explained.Yet their eyes were still closed.
“How foolish you are, and how slow to believe…” (Luke 24:25)

+ It wasn’t until the breaking of bread that everything changed.
“When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened…” (Luke 24:30–31) In that moment, they recognised Him.

+ Like them, we often walk through life unaware that Jesus is right beside us.We may read Scripture, yet still struggle to fully perceive Him.
But in Communion— in the sharing of His Body and Blood—our spiritual eyes are opened in a deeper, more intimate way.

+ Today,Jesus is closer than we think
let us ask for:
A renewed heart to be able to perceive Him

+ “Create in me a clean heart, O God…” (Psalm 51:10)

+ MEDITATION ON THE GOSPEL OF ST JOHN

John 8:29 “And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”

When the Lord Jesus speaks there is always a deeper and more divine meaning. The Father is with the Son, but this does not mean that the Father is with the Son in the same way we might speak about God being with a prophet. On the contrary, these words express in a human way the unity of essence between the Father and the Son, who are one God with the Holy Spirit. Even though the Son has been sent to do the Father’s will, for the salvation of mankind, nevertheless he has not been sent out of the Father’s presence, or out of the unity of the Holy Trinity. The one who sends him is always united in the unity of the Holy Trinity with the one who is sent. He is the Word of the Father and so expresses perfectly the very divine nature of the Father.

Who can perfectly please the Father and do his will, except the one who is sent from God and is God himself. For only God knows perfectly the mind and will of God and can perform all those things that please him. This is the will and purpose of the Father, that all those he had created in love, and had fallen under the power of death and Satan, might be set free from this bo***ge, and find life and union with God in the Son of God whom he has sent. All that we see Jesus Christ doing in the Gospels, for the salvation of mankind, for the healing of those who are sick, for the freedom of those who are oppressed, and for the raising to life of those who were spiritually dead and separated from God, all of these wonderful acts are the will of the Father for our restoration to sonship with God.

If we are in Christ, through faith and baptism, through the life of prayer and the grace and gift of divine life in the sacraments, then how do we apply these words to ourselves? If we are in Christ then we are also sent into the world to do the will of God, for the salvation of those around us, and for the demonstration of the power of God’s love and light and life in every situation. We discover that the Father has not left us alone, but has sent us a Comforter, the Holy Spirit, one of the Holy Trinity, who is God himself and who is within us as our new and true life. We find not only the desire to do God’s will, and to become holy and humble of heart, but that God gives us his grace and strength to become increasingly the person that we desire to be in him, and whom we have been created to be.

+ There are moments in life when the battle feels overwhelming—when time seems too short, strength too small, and the opposition too great.

Joshua 9:16-10:43
Luke23:26-56
Proverbs 10:21-30

+ In Joshua 10, as the battle raged, Joshua prayed boldly for something unheard of:that the sun would stand still until victory was secured.

" Joshua said to the Lord:
O Sun stand still over Gibeon ...
So the Sun stood still
Until the nation avenged itself on its enemies "
Joshua 10:12

And God answered—not necessarily in a way we can fully explain—but in a way that made one thing clear: He fights for His people.

+ Centuries later, in Luke 23, another battle unfolded—quiet, painful, and eternal. As Jesus Christ hung on the cross, darkness covered the land. It seemed like defeat.
But in that moment, the greatest victory was being won—not over earthly kings, but over sin, death, and every force that stands against us.

“Darkness came over the land until the ninth hour For the sun stopped shining.... He breathed His last"

Joshua’s victory was visible and immediate.Christ’s victory was deeper and everlasting.

God is not limited by what limits us.
Sometimes we want the sun to stand still—to have more time, more strength, or a clear breakthrough. But often, God works in ways we don’t expect:
* giving endurance instead of escape
* peace instead of instant resolution
* quiet strength instead of dramatic signs
So pray boldly. trust deeply. keep going.

+ Lord, fight for me in every battle.Give me strength to keep going and faith to trust You.Whether You change my situation or change me,let Your victory be complete in my life. Amen.

+ God speaks quietly in the depth of each heart

Psalm 51:1–9 |
Luke 22:63–23:25 |
Joshua 8:1–9:15

“Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
you taught me wisdom in that secret place.”
— Psalm 51:6

+ Pilate knew in his heart that Jesus was innocent—
a victim of envy and conspiracy.

But…

+ Pilate’s mistake was this:
he let that small, quiet voice of truth inside him
be choked by pressure from the crowd.

He allowed fear of people
and fear of losing his position
to outweigh his fear of God and His judgment.

“But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that He be crucified,
and their shouts prevailed.
So Pilate decided to grant their demand.”
— Luke 23:23

+ How often do we silence that quiet voice of truth within us
because it’s easier to go along with others?

+ God calls us to faithfulness—
To make the right decision
Do not listen to the shouts of the worldly wisdom & media
+ Listen to the quiet still voice of Truth inside you
Or you will find yourself
Releasing Jesus to be crucified

+ MEDITATION ON THE GOSPEL OF ST JOHN

John 8:28 Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.

When the Jewish leaders looked at the Lord Jesus, despite all of the things he was teaching and the miracles and signs he was working, they only saw a man. So, they refused to believe because they did not see that he was God, God made man, and God from God sent into the world. There was no salvation in Christ for them because without faith there is not hope of life with the Father, by the Son, and in the Holy Spirit, and they had no faith. Truly it is said that once we deny that Jesus is God as he said, then we must say that he is either a liar or a madman.

Jesus says that they will see who he is when they have lifted him up, when they have crucified him. This is a prophecy of what they would indeed to. It was they who went to Pilate asking that he be put to death, and it was they who shouted, crucify him. But in the very time when it seemed to them that they had silenced and removed at last this obstacle to their power and prestige in Judea, he would burst forth from the bonds of death, destroying it forever in his divine and glorious resurrection, and then they would know who he was. Then his words would be clearly understood and there would be no more opportunity to say that they misunderstood him. Then there would be no excuse.

In our own lives we have encountered the living and risen Lord Jesus, and if we have been baptised into his Body, the Church of the Apostles, then we have his life within us. In every moment, how do we honour and reverence and obey the one we call our Lord and Saviour? The Jewish leaders could say, we did not understand, until his death and resurrection made everything clear and they had no more excuses. But what of us, what of today? If what we say about Jesus Christ is true, that he is God himself come into the world to restore mankind to life with God, then in every moment we must seek him and serve him as God. We do not add a little of Christian faith to our busy lives, but to know Christ and to follow him must become the very centre and object of our lives. Now we know the truth, and now, if we truly believe, it must change everything.

Are you facing something that feels impossible?
A hardened heart?
A situation that won’t move?
Like the walls of Jericho?

📖 Psalms 50:16–23
📖 Luke 22:39–62
📖 Joshua 5:13–7:26

“On the seventh time round, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, ‘Shout! For the Lord has given you the city!’” (Joshua 6:16)

Jesus says:
“Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.” (Luke 22:46)

+ Get up and pray — don’t stay discouraged or passive.

+ Bring God’s presence into the situation
Just as the Ark of the Covenant went before Israel, invite God right into the center of your struggle.

+ Make it the focus of your prayer
Circle it. Return to it. Don’t give up.

+ Follow God’s way, not your own timing
Act when He leads. Trust His instructions, even when they don’t make sense.

“When the trumpets sounded… the people shouted… and the wall collapsed.” (Joshua 6:20)
What seems unbreakable will break:

* The hardest heart can soften
* The impossible can become possible
* Walls of misunderstanding can fall

And Jesus will enter in
