教會傳承起自主耶穌基督設立十二使徒、傳至教父，再傳至教會改革者Luther, Martin馬丁路德（1483-1546）和Calvin, John加爾文（1509-1564），繼之傳至歐洲和美洲各教會，美國改革宗教會差派宣教師至韓國宣教，設立高麗耶穌教長老會，1975年由韓國耶穌教長老會差劉煥俊宣教師來台宣教，設立改革宗長老會南港教會。
