FPMT是一個國際性的佛教團體，隸屬於西藏佛教格魯派，以尊貴的達賴喇嘛尊者與喇嘛梭巴仁波切為主要精神導師。此組織藉由全世界160多所佛教中心、寺院、閉關道場、專案、慈善機構、社區服務中心及學校等，致力於教授、弘揚及保存大乘佛法。台灣高雄上樂金剛中心Heruka Center，便是FPMT全球壇城中的一份子。
FPMT is an international Buddhist organization of the Gelugpa Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It relies on His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and Lama Zopa Rinpoche as its principal Spiritual Teachers. It is devoted to the transmission of Mahayana Buddhist tradition and values through teaching, meditation, and community services via more than 160 Buddhist Centers, monasteries and nunneries, retreat centers, projects, charities and schools worldwide.
