雙溪口福天宮原名「福天壇」，主祀吳府三千歲。清道光十六年（1836年），侯氏先祖自大陸奉請神尊渡海來台，定居朴子雙溪口並於家中安座供奉，庇佑地方平安。日治時期因政策禁止私奉神明，神尊曾被藏於糧倉長達五十年。台灣光復後重新請出，並重塑金身、迎往南鯤身代天府包香火入神開光，持續護佑鄉里。隨著信眾日增，於民國83年奉聖諭籌建廟宇，民國85年入火安座，定名為「雙溪口福天宮」，民國86年全部完工，成為地方重要信仰中心，香火綿延至今。
