Persad, the parents of the Late Mr. Harrinarine (Harry) Persad- Founder of Harry Persad & Sons Ltd. This dedication in honour of his parents highlights the extent of the love, respect and appreciation that Mr. Harry Persad possessed for them; as they were instrumental in instilling sound ethical and religious values that strongly continues to influence his life as well as his family. The same St Helena Piarco Location is also home of the Second Flying Hanuman Murti. The First was consecrated at the Todds Road Hindu Temple, Fletchers Road, Todds Road in 2011 and was made dedicated to the Mother of Late Mr. Harry Persad, who’s life work was the very existence of that Mandir. The Flying Hanuman was conceptualized, and designed by Mr. Harry Persad, who saw his dream become a reality in this dedication. These murtis are thought to be the first of its kind(Flying) to be erected in Trinidad and Tobago some thirty feet high and is believed to be the only ones in the World. Persad has promised to deliver his wishes and dreams with future Flying Hanuman Murties, so far namely the SDMS Pasea. The Third flying Hanuman was consecrated in April 2015 at the Vishnu Mandir, Rochard Douglas Road, # 5 Scale, Barrackpore and was dedicated to Pundit Abhedanand Persad Sharma of San Fernando. The consecration commemorated the 2015 auspicious Hanuman Gyanti and also the 80th Birthday Celebrations of Late Pundit Deokie Persad Sharma, Pundit Abhedanand’s father. The Ramjit and Basso Persad Hindu Temple is home to several Marble Murtis originally sculpted in Jaipur, India. The beautifully designed Temple is very special and unique in deed, powerful and tranquil open to all devotees as well as religious and spiritual groups who are welcomed to perform worship, as it has now become a representation of the rich legacy that our forefathers brought to our country. On the 21st of January 2021, in commemoration of the 70th Birthday of Mr Harry Persad, Lord Shiva Temple and 40 foot high Statue was officially consecrated and opened at the Ramjit and Basso Persad Hindu Temple compound. This was his hearts desire and dream that came to realization, and in turn has become a site of spiritual pilgrimage to the landscape of Trinidad and Tobago.
