Today’s PCW Message Reflection on Rest — Matthew 11:25–30

In Gospel of Matthew 11:25–30, Jesus gives a comforting message about rest.

Life can feel heavy sometimes. We carry stress, worries, responsibilities, and even pain that others may not see. We try to handle everything on our own, but Jesus reminds us that we don’t have to.

He says, “Come to me.”
That means, you don’t have to fix everything first. You don’t have to be strong all the time. You just need to come as you are to Him.

Jesus also talks about taking His “yoke,” which means walking with Him and letting Him guide your life. It doesn’t mean life becomes easy, but it means you are not carrying your burdens alone anymore.

He is gentle and kind, not harsh or demanding. When you walk with Him: Your heart feels lighter. Your mind finds peace. Your soul finds rest
Rest is not about having no problems.
Rest is about having Jesus with you in your problems. So, if you feel tired, stressed, or overwhelmed today, remember this,
Jesus is saying to you, “Come to me.” And in Him, you will find rest.

We are Beacon of Lights

There are moments in life when we feel small—uncertain, overlooked, or burdened by challenges. But even in those times, we must remember a powerful truth: we carry the light of God within us. That light doesn’t disappear when we’re tired or discouraged; it continues to burn quietly, steadily, reminding us of who we are and whose we are.

We are beacons of light in a world that often feels dark and weary. God shines within us—not for our glory, but for His. He has chosen us to reflect His love, His grace, and His hope to others. He needs us to shine—not with pride or the desire for applause, but with humility. Our service, our kindness, our acts of love are not for recognition; they are meant to point others to the goodness of our Father in heaven.

So when you feel small or unseen, remember: your light still matters. Your quiet acts of faithfulness and compassion are powerful. Keep shining—not to be validated by others, but to validate the One who lives in you. Let your life be a testimony, a soft glow that leads others back to the source of all light—God Himself.
