FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW 😊👇
You and I are ambassadors for Christ. We must share the correct gospel with sinners and Christians who have not yet come onto the knowledge of the truth. This is important because we all (all saved people in this dispensation) will be called to accountability one day.
The apostle Paul wrote Jesus Christ will judge the secrets of men according to his gospel on that ‘day of accountability’ (Rom. 2:16). We will give an account before the judgment seat of Christ how we shared Paul’s gospel (Rom. 14:12; 1 Cor. 3:13-16; 2 Cor. 5:10).
We do not have to be worried that we will be condemned to the pool of fire when we appear before the judgment seat of Christ. Our appearance as ambassadors for Christ has nothing to do with unbelief or sin. That matter was dealt with on the cross. Our appearance before the judgment seat of Christ has to do with how we conduct the ministry of reconciliation we received when we were saved (2 Cor. 5:18).
The thought that our ministry will be inspected at the judgment seat of Christ should be an incentive to ensure we know what is expected of us and what gospel we have to preach in the dispensation of the grace of God. The apostle Paul said our ministry will be judged according to ‘his gospel’ (Rom. 2:16).
As ambassadors for Christ, we are builders. We build onto the building, the body of Christ. We can do that with Paul’s gospel which is likened to gold, silver, and precious stones or we can build with ‘another gospel’ which is likened to wood, hay, and stubble (1 Cor. 3:12). If you build onto the body of Christ with any other gospel than Paul’s gospel, you are not building onto the foundation Paul laid for us (1 Cor. 3:10-11).
I am not aware of many churches in the World where the pure (sound) gospel of the apostle Paul is preached. Most preach ‘another gospel’, a muddled-up gospel of law and grace. They build with wood, hay, and stubble. They will be ashamed one day when their workmanship burns to ashes. Can you understand why the Holy Spirit instructed us to study the word of God properly?
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15).
