St Mary's Parish PMC is proudly representing the parish at the Valley Cluster PMC Day being held today at St John Bosco Parish, Malkerns. The gathering brings together three parishes: St Mary's Parish, St John Bosco Parish, and Holy Rosary Parish, which together form the Valley Cluster.

More than 50 children from the parish are in attendance, accompanied by 7 teachers.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all parents and guardians for allowing their children to participate and for their generous support through transport fares, contribution fees, and offertory. Your commitment to the spiritual growth of your children and your dedication to ensuring they grow in the House of the Lord is truly appreciated.

May God richly bless you for always wanting the best for your children and for supporting their faith journey.

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

This coming Sunday we will joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity.

As it is also our Fifth Sunday, we shall gather as one parish family for Holy Mass and our fundraising for the church building project. We kindly urge every parishioner to honour the Sunday obligation by attending Mass faithfully and participating wholeheartedly in the fundraising efforts.

Let us continue to show our love for God and commitment to the growth of our parish through our generous support and presence.

Solemnity of Pentecost!

Today, our Parish joined the Church across the globe in commemorating the Solemnity of Pentecost, a beautiful celebration of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fr Nkhosingiphile Ngwenya for presiding over the Eucharistic celebration and for guiding us in faith. During his homily, he reminded us that โ€œthe greatest gift we can offer to the Church is to preach the gospel of unity,โ€ a message that deeply resonates with our calling as Christians in todayโ€™s world.

We also sincerely thank all the faithful who gathered in prayer and fellowship, making the celebration truly meaningful. A special word of appreciation goes to the choir for leading us in uplifting worship and enriching the liturgy with their beautiful singing. May the Spirit of Pentecost continue to inspire unity, love, and faith in our Parish community!

VENI SANCTE SPIRITUS (COME, HOLY SPIRIT PRAYER)

Come, Holy Spirit, come.
And from your celestial home
Shed a ray of light divine.

Come, Father of the poor.
Come, source of all our store.
Come, within our bosoms shine.

You, of comforters the best;
You, the soulโ€™s most welcome guest;
Sweet refreshment here below;

In our labor, rest most sweet;
Grateful coolness in the heat;
Solace in the midst of woe.

O most blessed Light divine,
Shine within these hearts of yours,
And our inmost being fill.

Where you are not, we have naught,
Nothing good in deed or thought,
Nothing free from taint of ill.

Heal our wounds, our strength renew;
On our dryness pour your dew;
Wash the stains of guilt away:

Bend the stubborn heart and will;
Melt the frozen, warm the chill;
Guide the steps that go astray.

On the faithful, who adore
And confess you, evermore
In your sevenfold gift descend;

Give them virtueโ€™s sure reward;
Give them your salvation, Lord;
Give them joys that never end.

Amen.
