2cor 2: 11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
2cor 1:8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
Topic: put the devil under check.
These scriptures encouraged us not to be ignorant, unaware or unknowledgeable of what the devil is capable of doing and his diversity. The bastard devil ve many devices or ways of attacking believers. So if we are not wise,aware or knowledgeable, we will be looking out for him in one direction while he already changed rout, he keeps us in one angle while he destroys from another. Remember he has just one goal according to jn 10:10 and that is to remove us from God or God from us. He could achieve that by manipulating our ignorance and attack our health, finance, marriage or even loved once. He always want to do things that will make us ask or doubt if God is real, he persuaded job through his wife to cause God and die but job knew better. It's for this reasons that many are discouraged, backsides and commit su***de today , when devil speaks to our intuition that God hates us , he never loved or want to help us. The question is, is God aware of the devil's activities against us? Yes he knows and sees all things. Why then is God not stopping him ? Because he gave us that power to do so and also a mind to give his rest. what power and mind? The power of prayers using just the name of Jesus phil 2 : 10, spiritual sensitivity and the mind for discernment 1cor 2:16. the devil takes advantage of our ignorance in this truth to strike. God expected Saints to be wise when we do things, deal with people and go about our daily business. Ignorance makes one live carelessly, eat carelessly, talk carelessly and act without thinking of the repercussions. A man once walked into lions park in the name of anointing, he wanted to repeat the Daniels miracle, but the result was that he got eaten by the loins. Daniel didn't walk to the lion's den but was thrown in there because of his loyalty to God ceaseless prayer lifestyle. God Dose not do evil, will never test his children or use punishment to teach us lesson , God is 100% good and 0% wicked, only good and perfect gifts come from him. Every temptation we get into is traceable to our รท
1. Mistakes
2.careless or carefree lifestyle
3. Lack of knowledge or insensitivity to counsel and the world we live in.
4. Things we so loved, admire or can't do without.
5. Disobedience or disregard to God's Will
The devil will always watch to see when we walk out of God's way and then take the advantage to strike making it look like it's God. But matured believers will always realize their mistakes, repent of it and use it to punish the devil by doing things God's way. Another thing is that God gave us power to fight the devil through prayer but we ignore it in pursuit of our own interest. Get this right, heaven only responds to what we decree on earth thru prayer mt 18:18-19. In Act 12:1 Herold was vexed with the saints and he stretch his hand and killed James, the church was silent and so was God but when he made a repeated attempt to kill Peter, the bible recorded that saints declared spiritual warfare and heaven responded immediately, wonders was wrought in the prison and peter was delivered. All power has been given unto us but ignorance will keep us complaining and blaming God and people around us. Saints if you notice anything that's not working around you, stand on your feet, take a fast , isolate yourself in the place of prayers, speak to the atmosphere , get things right and working, if it need physical movement, get it going, speak to people, share your ideas with people of like mind.and surely you will see how good and lovely being with God can be. See you tomorrow at bible studies. 5pm to 6:30 pm.
