Evangelical-Inspired Composer:
Isaac Nyuoth Choor Deng.

It is my dispensation to expand on the legacy of Isaac Nyuoth Choor, a man whose faith journey mirrors the very canticles he composes. His Christian excursion from the cattle camps of the Ciec people of Yirol to the hallowed halls of hymnody is a testament to God’s providence. Here are several inspired clauses recognizing his contribution to the faith: Isaac Nyuoth’s early years among the cattle of his native Ciec land were not merely a period of labor, but a foundational season of spiritual preparation. Just as David was called from the sheepfolds to lead Israel in song, Isaac was being prepared in the quiet rhythms of pastoral life for a much larger stage. This intimate connection to the land and his family provided the theological soil from which his later compositions would grow. Even before he knew the path ahead, the Creator was tuning his heart to the melodies of grace that would one day sustain a nation in exile at Kakuma Refugee Camp.

The tragic journey of the 26,000 Lost Boys of Sudan is a narrative of immense suffering, yet through Isaac Nyuoth, God turned a trail of tears into a corridor of worship. In the harsh reality of the Pinyudo refugee camp, where hope was a scarce commodity, Isaac tapped into a divine connection that transcended his circumstances. His hymns became the spiritual oxygen for those who had lost everything but their faith. His music proves that the most profound biblical understanding is often forged in the furnace of affliction, where the Word of God is not just read but desperately felt. Isaac’s compositions, such as the stirring (‘We ca lɛ̈k ka ŋootwei ka këc bɛ̈n’), are not merely catchy tunes; they are comprehensive theological treatises set to music. His ability to inform the Christian faith through song reveals a man who has meditated deeply on the Scriptures. Even as he transitioned to a new life in the Christian conviction and JWL Youth Ministry obligatory effort, his

APPRECIATION MESSAGE TO ALL JWL MEMBERS OF JUBA & RAJAF DIOCESES

On behalf of the entire JWL leadership, I would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all JWL members of Juba and Rajaf Dioceses for the remarkable dedication, unity, and spiritual strength you demonstrated during the reception and final farewell of our late Bishop Emeritus Rt. Rev. Nathaniel Garang Anyieth.

Your commitment throughout the entire program was truly admirable and a powerful testimony of faith and service. We deeply appreciate every effort you made, including:
1. The Night Prayers at Emmanuel Parish, followed by the march from Emmanuel Parish to the Airport to receive the remains of our beloved Bishop.
2. Keeping vigil in prayer at All Saints Cathedral, spending the entire night in worship and intercession beside the remains of the late Bishop Emeritus until morning before his final journey to Bor for burial.
3. Your marching and prayerful presence in Bor Town, as you paid your last respects and said the final goodbye before the body was laid to rest.
4. The marching in Sherika to St. Peter Parish, where you again gathered in unity and conducted prayers with dignity and devotion.

Your tireless efforts, discipline, and spiritual commitment during this period reflect the true spirit of JWL—service, respect, and unshakable faith. You have truly honored the life and ministry of our late Bishop Emeritus.

May God reward each one of you abundantly, strengthen you, and continue to guide us in unity and love.

Thank you for your great work and unwavering support.
May the soul of our late Bishop Emeritus Rt. Rev. Nathaniel Garang Anyieth rest in eternal peace. Amen.

Daily Devotion – March 1, 2026,( *2nd Sunday in Lent)*

Text: 2 Peter 3:9

Theme: God’s Patience Leads to Repentance

Background:
The Apostle Peter wrote to believers who were facing persecution and doubts about Christ’s return. Some questioned why the Lord had not yet come back. Peter reminds them that God’s timing is not like ours. His “delay” is not neglect, but mercy. The Lord is patient, desiring that none should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Application:
In this second week of Lent, we are reminded that Lent is a season of repentance and reflection. God’s patience gives us opportunity to examine our hearts, turn from sin, and draw closer to Him. Instead of questioning His timing, we should respond to His mercy. As God is patient with us, we are also called to be patient with others, extending grace as He has done for us.

Conclusion:
God’s delay is not denial; it is divine mercy. Today is a gift—an opportunity to repent, renew our faith, and walk faithfully with Christ as we journey toward the cross and the hope of resurrection.

Closing Prayer:
Merciful Father, thank You for Your patience and lovingkindness toward us. In this Lenten season, search our hearts and lead us to true repentance. Help us not to take Your grace for granted, but to grow in holiness and faith. Teach us to reflect Your patience in our daily lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

.
The coming together of Laurent Mbanda, Archbishop, Primate of Rwanda and Chairman of Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON), with Justin Badi Arama, Archbishop, Primate of South Sudan and Chairman of the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches (GSF), in Abuja City, Nigeria, is a powerful sign of unity within the global Anglican family. Both the GAFCON and GSF represent a large number of Anglicans across Africa, Asia, and other parts of the world who are committed to preserving the authority of Scripture and the historic faith of the Church. Their meeting in Abuja is therefore not only administrative but also spiritual, seeking guidance from God for the future of the Anglican Communion.

Furthermore, this meeting demonstrates the importance of spiritual leadership in times when the Anglican world faces theological and moral challenges. The Church must stand firm in the truth of God’s Word. As it is written in Book of Joshua 24:15, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” This meeting calls the global Anglican family to choose faithfulness to Christ and to walk together in biblical truth.
