Why You Should Believe The Bible ?

There are millions or billions of people across the world if I may say who try to use science against the Bible, they say science refutes Biblical faith, but this is far from the truth. These people don't know that Sciences STRONGLY AGREE with the AUTHENTICITY of the Bible and that all SCIENTIFIC INVENTIONS and FACTS are a copy of the Biblical truth with Biblical Origin.

Here are just a few of Scientific Facts In The Bible That Prove Faith And Science Coexist and are never against each other.

1st Biblical Fact: The earth’s free float in space.
Fifteen hundred years before Christ, many people believed that the earth sat on a large animal or giant. However, before science discovered the truth on 1650, the Bible already spoke of the earth free floating in space.

“He stretches out the north over EMPTY SPACE; He hangs the earth upon NOTHING.” (Job 26:7)
This earth Scientific fact is a copy of the Biblical truth.

2nd Biblical Fact: The Importance of washing your hands.
According to scientific discoveries, the Encyclopedia Britannica gave an account of a young doctor in 1845 who discovered the importance of washing. Hundreds of years ago, a major problem was the death rate among women giving birth in hospitals was high. In some years the death rate was 30% of women after giving birth. In centuries past, doctors never practiced washing their hands before going to the next patient. This was because the presence of microscopic diseases weren’t yet discovered. When it was discovered that washing hands would help stop the spread of disease the death rate of pregnant women dropped down to 2%.
However, the Bible clearly taught people how to deal with diseases earlier than when science discovered washing on water.

“Now when the man with the discharge becomes cleansed from his discharge, then he shall count off for himself seven days for his cleansing; he shall then wash his clothes and bathe his body in running water and will become clean.” (Leviticus 15:13)

3rd Bib Fact: Information in the blood & the fact that Blood saves life.

We all know that just by taking a blood sample, a doctor can evaluate the health issues and conditions of a person. And the discovery of healing through blood transfusions was a game changer. A blood transfusion replenishes lost blood. But long before science discovered about this biological truth, the Bible has already spoken of it.

“For the life of the flesh(human or animal) is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.” (Leviticus 17:11)

4th Bib Fact: The Circle of the earth, i.e the fact of earth being round.

It was the Greek Philosophers who first concluded the earth was round. Eratosthenes, Aristotle, and Pythagoras all wrote about this theory as early as 500 BC. However, many years earlier, the Bible has already revealed about this truth. Because the book of Isaiah was written between 740 and 680 BC.

“It is He who sits above the CIRCLE of the Earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.” (Isaiah 40:22)

5th Bib Fact: The Bible and Oceanography.

2,800 years ago, Matthew Maury, the father of oceanography, noticed the Bible verse Psalm 8:8 describing the paths of the seas. And so he vowed to find those paths that God said in His Word. He then discovered the warm and cold continental currents. His book on oceanography is still used in universities.

“The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea, Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.” (Psalm 8:8)

6th Bib Fact: Light waves and radio waves.

Long before science discovered that light can be sent and manifest itself in speech in 1864, the Bible had already revealed it. It was the time when God asked Job a very strange question back in 1500 BC saying,

“Can you send forth lightnings that they may go And say to you, ‘Here we are’?” (Job 38:35)

7th Bib Truth: The First Law of Thermodynamics.

Nothing is evolving and everything is finished just as the Bible says.

“Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were FINISHED.” (Genesis 2:1)

8th Bib Fact: Ship Dimensions.

In 1993, a South Korean Research Center conducted a scientific study comparing 12 hulls of different shapes to the 1.5 million cubic foot ark Noah built. They discovered that no modern design can outperform Noah’s ark.

“And this is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high.” (Genesis 6:15)

9th Bib Fact: The Bible and Quarantine.

Before medical science found out about the importance of isolating a person with infectious disease, God taught His people about this in the Bible. In the 14th century, 70 million lives were taken through plague because they failed to separate the sick from the healthy. It was until the 17th century that the laws of quarantine were instigated. But well before modern medicine, God instructed his people to do this with their sicks.

“As long as he has the INFECTION, he remains unclean. He must LIVE ALONE in a place outside the camp.” (Leviticus 13:46)

10th Bib Fact: The Bible and dinosaurs.

God, Himself spoke to Job of a creature He created called “Behemoth”. Some commentator say it was a hippopotamus, however, the hippo doesn’t fit in some accounts. The characteristic of this massive animal that God created had a tail like that of a cedar tree which is a very large tree. And the hippo clearly doesn’t fit that description. Job 40:15-24 in the Bible says:

“Look at Behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. What strength it has in its loins, what power in the muscles of its belly! Its tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of its thighs are close-knit. Its bones are tubes of bronze, its limbs like rods of iron. It ranks first among the works of God, yet its Maker can approach it with his sword. The hills bring it their produce, and all the wild animals play nearby. Under the lotus plants it lies, hidden among the reeds in the marsh. The lotuses conceal it in their shadow; the poplars by the stream surround it. A raging river does not alarm it; it is secure, though the Jordan should surge against its mouth. Can anyone capture it by the eyes, or trap it and pierce its nose?”

11th Bib Fact: 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗬.

He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; He suspends/hangs (gravity) the earth over nothing.
(Job 26 : 7)

12th Bib Fact: 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗬𝗖𝗟𝗘.

He wraps up the waters in His clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their weight. (Job 26 : 8)

He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams; the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind. (Job 36:27-28).

“Draws up drops of water” : Evaporation

“Distill as rain to the streams” : Precipitation

“Clouds pour down their moisture” : Condensation.

13th Bib Fact: 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛’𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗘

The earth, from which food comes, is transformed below as by fire. (Job 28 : 5)

Source: BIBLE.

Friends, the Bible is God's word. No human mind can guess all these facts without the Guidance and inspiration of the Creator. We need to believe the Bible because it is not the Book of Fictions, but the Book of facts.

Who Changed The Sabbath ? Did God, Jesus or Apostles Change it ?

History tells that on March 7, A.D. 321, Constantine the Great issued the first civil Sunday law, compelling all the people, except farmers, in the Roman Empire to rest on Sunday. This, with five other civil laws decreed by Constantine concerning Sunday, set the legal precedent for all civil Sunday legislation from that time to the present. In the fourth century the Council of Laodicea prohibited Christians from abstaining from work on the Sabbath, while urging them to honor Sunday by abstaining from work if at all possible.

A catechism of the Roman Catholic Church confirms who instituted the change:

"Q. Which is the Sabbath day?

"A. Saturday is the Sabbath day.

"Q. Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?

"A. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church . . . transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday."-Peter Geiermann, The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (1957 edition), p. 50.

The Catholic Church proudly announces that her church leaders made the change.

"The holy day, the Sabbath, was CHANGED from SATURDAY to SUNDAY . . . not from any DIRECTIONS noted in the SCRIPTURES, but from the Church's SENSE of its own power. . . . People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy." -Cardinal Maida, Archbishop of Detroit, Saint Catherine Catholic Church Sentinel, Algonac, Michigan, May 21, 1995.

Martin Luther, founder of the Lutheran Church, wrote in the Augsburg Confession, Article 28, paragraph 9:

"They [the Roman Catholics] allege the Sabbath changed into Sunday, the Lord's Day, contrary to the decalogue [the Ten Commandments], . . . neither is there any example more boasted of than the changing of the Sabbath day. Great, say they, is the power and authority of the church, since it dispensed with one of the ten commandments."

Methodist theologians Amos Binney and Daniel Steele observed:

"It is true, there is no positive command for infant baptism . . . nor is there any for keeping HOLY THE FIRST DAY of the WEEK."-Theological Compend (New York: Methodist Book Concern, 1902), pp. 180, 181.

Dr. N. Summerbell, historian of the Disciples of Christ or Christian Church, wrote:

"The Roman Church had totally apostatized. . . . It reversed the FOURTH COMMANDMENT by DOING AWAY with the SABBATH of God's Word, and INSTITUTING SUNDAY as a holy day." -A True History of the Christian and the Christian Church, pp. 417, 418.

History shows that Sunday worship and observance is a man-made custom. The Bible gives no authority for doing away with the seventh-day Sabbath of the fourth commandment. The prophet Daniel predicted that during the Christian era a deceptive religious and political power would attempt to change God's law and times. (Daniel 7:25).

There are in the world today many who close their eyes to the evidences that Christ has given to warn men of His coming. They seek to quiet all apprehension, while at the same time the signs of the end are rapidly fulfilling, and the world is hastening to the time when the Son of man shall be revealed in the clouds of heaven.

Paul teaches that it is sinful to be indifferent to the signs which are to precede the second coming of Christ. Those guilty of this neglect he calls children of the night and of darkness. He encourages the vigilant and watchful with these words: "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober."

Especially important to the church in our time are the teachings of the apostle upon this point. To those living so near the great consummation, the words of Paul should come with telling force: "Let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him."

The watchful Christian is a working Christian, seeking zealously to do all in his power for the advancement of the gospel. As love for his Redeemer increases, so also does love for his fellow men. He has severe trials, as had his Master; but he does not allow affliction to sour his temper or destroy his peace of mind. He knows that trial, if well borne, will refine and purify him, and bring him into closer fellowship with Christ. Those who are partakers of Christ's sufferings will also be partakers of His consolation and at last sharers of His glory. (AA 260.1 - AA 261.1).

The truth and the glory of God are inseparable; it is impossible for us, with the Bible within our reach, to honor God by erroneous opinions. Many claim that it matters not what one believes, if his life is only right. But the life is molded by the faith. If light and truth is within our reach, and we neglect to improve the privilege of hearing and seeing it, we virtually reject it; we are choosing darkness rather than light.
"There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 16:25). Ignorance is no excuse for error or sin, when there is every opportunity to know the will of God.

A man is traveling and comes to a place where there are several roads and a guideboard indicating where each one leads. If he disregards the guideboard, and takes whichever road seems to him to be right, he may be ever so sincere, but will in all probability find himself on the wrong road.
God has given us His word that we may become acquainted with its teachings and know for ourselves what He requires of us.

When the lawyer came to Jesus with the inquiry, "What shall I do to inherit eternal life?" the Saviour referred him to the Scriptures, saying: "What is written in the law? how readest thou?" Ignorance will not excuse young or old, nor release them from the punishment due for the transgression of God's law; because there is in their hands a faithful presentation of that law and of its principles and claims. It is not enough to have good intentions; it is not enough to do what a man thinks is right or what the minister/pastor tells him is right. His soul's salvation is at stake, and he should search the Scriptures for himself. However strong may be his convictions, however confident he may be that the minister/pastor knows what is truth, this is not his foundation. He has a chart pointing out every waymark on the heavenward journey, and he ought not to guess at anything.

It is the first and highest duty of every rational being to learn from the Scriptures what is truth, and then to walk in the light and encourage others to follow his example. We should day by day study the Bible diligently, weighing every thought and comparing scripture with scripture. With divine help we are to form our opinions for ourselves as we are to answer for ourselves before God.

(Great Controversy page 597 paragraph 2, to page 598 paragraph 2).

True Happiness Is Found In God's Law.

The book of Ecclesiastes is a report of Solomon's search for happiness. He records his quest for happiness in the riches of the world: magnificent houses, productive vineyards, beautiful gardens, and orchards of luscious fruit. He multiplied servants. He found himself surrounded with every material thing a person could desire. But happiness eluded him, and he wrote:

""When I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind." -Ecclesiastes 2:11.

Solomon then turned to searching out the pleasures of this world in hope of finding happiness. He was taken in by wine, women, and song. His conclusion was:

""Meaningless! Meaningless! . . . Everything is meaningless!" -Ecclesiastes 12:8.

Solomon had once tasted and seen that the Lord is good. As he compared his early life of obedience to God with his reckless chase for happiness in the things of sin, his verdict was:

""Here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and KEEP His COMMANDMENTS, for this is the whole duty of man." -Ecclesiastes 12:13.

Solomon felt he could find a shortcut to happiness in a wild life by disobeying God as many of us do today. Toward the close of his life, he was man enough to admit his error. To save others from the same error, he wrote,

"He that keepeth the law, happy is he." -Proverbs 29:18, KJV.
The law of God is perfect, it is a mirror that shows sin. Those who Keeps God's laws are not in the prisons, they are not in hiding from fear of being arrested. They are enjoying the Liberty and Justice. Any church or Pastor that preaches people to disobey God's law is not from God and has never been sent by God.

Those churches that teach people to disregard God's Laws saying that they have been crucified with Jesus and that we no longer need to obey them are doing exactly what Satan wants them to do. Satan hates God's law so much. He wants everyone to do what he desires to do and those preachers are hypocrites. They will tell you, christians are not to obey the ten commandments and if you threat to kill them or commit adultery with their wives, they would call the police to arrest you. If you steal their properties, they won't leave you alone. They will arrest you and put you in prison until you pay them back. Is this not hypocrisy ? Friends, there is no freedom without the obedience. Prisons are full with people who are disobedience.

I'm not saying that we should obey God's laws in order to be saved. No, we don't obey God's law in order to be saved. This is not a salvation matter. We obey God's laws because we have been saved. We obey God's laws because it is our Duty as Christians to be examplary in doing the right thing. Just imagine how peaceful this world would be if we all stop killing, stealing, commiting adultery and accusing others falsely! The Laws of God are perfect and Laws of liberty.

What do other Churches and pastors say about the Sabbath and Sunday? Exodus 20:8

Answer: Here are a host of comments from churches and other authorities about the Sabbath: Find out what your church says about the sabbath.

BAPTIST: "There was and is a commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not Sunday. ... It will be said, however, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week. ... Where can the record of such a transaction be found? Not in the New Testament--absolutely not. There is no scriptural evidence of the change of the Sabbath institution from the seventh to the first day of the week." --Dr. Edward T. Hiscox, author of The Baptist Manual, in a paper read before a New York ministers' conference held Nov. 13, 1893.

CATHOLIC: "You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we [Catholics] never sanctify." --James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers, 16th edition, 1880, p. 111.

CHURCH OF CHRIST: "Finally, we have the testimony of Christ on this subject. In Mark 2:27, he says: 'The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.' From this passage it is evident that the Sabbath was made not merely for the Israelites, as Paley and Hengstenberg would have us believe, but for man ... that is, for the race. Hence we conclude that the Sabbath was sanctified from the beginning, and that it was given to Adam, even in Eden, as one of those primeval institutions that God ordained for the happiness of all men." --Robert Milligan, Scheme of Redemption, (St. Louis, The Bethany Press, 1962), p. 165.

CONGREGATIONALIST: "The Christian Sabbath [Sunday] is not in the Scriptures, and was not by the primitive church called the Sabbath." --Dwight's Theology, Vol. 4, p. 401.

EPISCOPAL: "Sunday (Dies Solis, of the Roman calendar, 'day of the sun', because dedicated to the sun), the first day of the week, was adopted by the early Christians as a day of worship. ... No regulations for its observance are laid down in the New Testament, nor, indeed, is its observance even enjoined." --"Sunday," A Religious Encyclopedia, Vol. 3, (New York, Funk and Wagnalls, 1883) p. 2259.

LUTHERAN: "The observance of the Lord's day [Sunday] is founded not on any command of God, but on the authority of the church." --Augsburg Confession of Faith, quoted in Catholic Sabbath Manual, Part 2, Chapter 1, Section 10.

METHODIST: "Take the matter of Sunday. There are indications in the New Testament as to how the church came to keep the first day of the week as its day of worship, but there is no passage telling Christians to keep that day, or to transfer the Jewish Sabbath to that day." --Harris Franklin Rall, Christian Advocate, July 2, 1942.

MOODY BIBLE INSTITUTE: "The Sabbath was binding in Eden, and it has been in force ever since. This fourth commandment begins with the word 'remember,' showing that the Sabbath already existed when God wrote the law on the tables of stone at Sinai. How can men claim that this one commandment has been done away with when they will admit that the other nine are still binding?" --D. L. Moody, Weighed and Wanting, p. 47.

PRESBYTERIAN: "Until, therefore, it can be shown that the whole moral law has been repealed, the Sabbath will stand. ... The teaching of Christ confirms the perpetuity of the Sabbath." --T. C. Blake, D.D., Theology Condensed, pp. 474, 475.

PENTECOSTAL: "'Why do we worship on Sunday? Doesn't the Bible teach us that Saturday should be the Lord's Day?' ... Apparently we will have to seek the answer from some other source than the New Testament." --David A. Womack, "Is Sunday the Lord's Day?" The Pentecostal Evangel, Aug. 9, 1959, No. 2361, p. 3.

ENCYCLOPEDIA: "Sunday was a name given by the heathen to the first day of the week, because it was the day on which they worshiped the sun, ... the seventh day was blessed and hallowed by God Himself, and ... He requires His creatures to keep it holy to Him. This commandment is of universal and perpetual obligation." --Eadie's Biblical Cyclopedia, 1872 ed., p. 561.

THE FOOL SAYS IN HIS HEART, THERE IS NO GOD (Psalm 14:1).

Jim once asked an atheist if he had ever wrestled, even for a few moments, with the thought that maybe God does exist. "Absolutely!" the atheist said, to Jim's surprise. "Years ago when our first child was born I almost became a believer in God. As I looked down at that miniature-but-perfect little human being in the crib, as I watched the flexing of those tiny fingers and saw the dawning of recognition in those little eyes, I went through a period of several months during which I almost ceased to be an atheist. Looking at that child almost convinced me that there had to be a God."

EVERYTHING DESIGNED HAS A DESIGNER

The design of the human body demands the existence of a designer. Scientists tell us that the brain stores and remembers thousands of mental images, integrates and solves problems, appreciates beauty, comprehends self, and desires to develop the best in each person. Electrical charges originating from the brain control all the muscular activity of our bodies.

Computers also function through electrical impulses. But it took a human mind to invent the computer and a human being to build the computer and tell it what to do. No wonder the psalmist concluded that the human body speaks loud and clear of a wonderful Creator:

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." -Psalm 139:14. (NIV).

We don't have to go far to find the "works" of God. The intricate design of the human brain and the other organs of our body are the "works" of God, and point to an infinitely skillful designer. No pump built by man can compare with the human heart. No computer network can equal our nervous system. No television system is as efficient as the human voice, ear, and eye. No central air conditioning and heating system can match the work done by our nose, lungs, and skin. The complexity of the human body suggests that someone designed it, and that Someone is God.

The human body is a complete system of organs-all interrelated, all thoroughly designed. The lungs and heart, nerves and muscles, all perform incredibly complicated tasks that depend on other incredibly complicated tasks. If you were to mark ten coins from one to ten, put them in your pocket, shake them around, and then pull them out and put them back in your pocket one by one, what is the likelihood you could do so in exact numerical sequence? By mathematical law you have only one chance in ten billion of taking them out in order from one to ten.

Now consider the chances of a stomach, brain, heart, liver, arteries, veins, kidneys, ears, eyes, and teeth all developing together and beginning to function at the same moment in time. What is the most reasonable explanation for the design of the human body?
"Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,' . . . SO GOD CREATED MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE, . . . male and female he created them." -Genesis 1:26, 27.

The first man and woman could not just have happened by accident or blind chance. The Bible affirms that God designed them in His image. He thought us up and brought us into being. But evidence for God is not confined to the design of our bodies; it's also spread across the heavens. Leave the lights of the city, and look up into the night sky. That milky cloud beyond the stars that we call the Milky Way is really a galaxy of billions of blazing suns similar to our sun. In fact our sun and its planets are a part of the Milky Way. And our Milky Way is but one of an estimated more than one hundred billion galaxies that can be seen through giant telescopes on earth and through the Hubble telescope in space.

No wonder the psalmist concluded that the stars speak of a glorious Maker:
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." -Psalm 19:1-3. What may we reasonably conclude by looking at the intricate design and vast size of the universe? "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." -Genesis 1:1. "God is before all things, and in him all things hold together." -Colossians 1:17.

All creation testifies about God the Master Designer and Infinite Creator. In the simple words, "in the beginning God," we find the answer to the mystery of life. There is a God who created everything.

Many great scientific minds today believe in God. Dr. Arthur Conklin, a noted biologist, once wrote: "The probability of life originating from an accident is comparable to the probability of an unabridged dictionary resulting from an explosion in a print shop."

We know that human beings can't make something from nothing. We may build things, invent things, put things together, but we have never brought into being from scratch even the tiniest frog or the simplest flower. The things about us cry out that God designed, God created, God sustains. The only believable answer to the origin of the universe, this world, and human beings-is God.

If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us a teacher. If our greatest need had been technology, He would have sent us an inventor. If our greatest need had been money, we would have received a banker. If our greatest need had been entertainment, God would have sent us an entertainer. But, God didn’t send us a teacher, an inventor, a banker or an entertainer. Our greatest need was forgiveness, so He sent us a savior, Jesus Christ. He is the forgiveness and remission of our sins. Seek God's forgiveness and mercy today, this is the major needs of human being. Blessed is the man whose sins are forgiven.

At times we may be tempted to wonder, will Christ really descend someday from this blue sky above us for a wonderful reunion? We've been separated for so long. Such a happy ending to the earth's long, tragic history may appear just too good to be true. But there's one thing that can keep hope alive in our hearts. And that's simply Jesus' promise to return. Just before departing from His disciples into heaven, Jesus made this pledge:

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME BACK and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." -John 14:1-3.

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He assured His followers, "I WILL COME BACK!" He promised to return and take all who trust in Him to the special place He has prepared for us. Scripture speaks of His second coming approximately 2,500 times. The fact that Jesus is coming to the world a second time is as certain as the reality that He lived on this earth two thousand years ago.

Long ago God promised that a Messiah would come, a Deliverer who would take on Himself our iniquities and provide pardon for human sin. That promise seemed too good to be true to many in the ancient world who were slogging through their lives. But Jesus did come and die on the cross. The promise came true more gloriously than people imagined possible. His promise to return will also come true. We can rely on the One who loves us, to return and gather up those for whom He has paid an infinite price.
