PRAISE THE LORD;
MORNING DEVOTION:

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:6

INSPIRATION:

For a person to consider dying for someone, it would take a lot for them to decide to go through with it. A person is more likely to die for someone who has done good things, as opposed to dying for a bad person. But Christ came and died for us when we were at our worst state. Our sinful state was not enough to change his mind towards us. That is true love. That is a love that will never fail.

LET'S PRAY;

Dear God, I simply pray that I never forget who Christ truly is. May I never make the mistake to think that he was a mere man or figure of history. Christ is so much more than that; he is my Savior. It is because of Christ I can speak to you, O God, with freedom and boldness. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Have a blessed weekend brethrens.

PRAISE THE LORD,
O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Psalms 139:1

The Lord gently searches our hearts. He knows our joys and sorrows and observes our sins. God determines what is harmful to our spirits and works within us to remove the darkness and numerous temptations from our lives. Our God is patient and merciful as He examines our hearts with justice and integrity. We are grateful for a heavenly Father who takes time to know our hearts so that we can be closer to Him.

HAVE PATIENCE, JESUS WILL COME AGAIN
Patience is important but difficult in today's world. We have come to expect instant results in so many areas of life. The farmer, the gardener, and the craftsman all understand the need for patience. You can't hurry the weather, or control the sunshine, and work done by hand is painstaking and slow. However, we have instant replays of sports games; we use microwaves and instant pots to cook meals in minutes. Cars go faster and faster, and computers give us information almost faster than we can type the questions. James is letting the early Christians know that they, too, must have patience as they await Jesus' coming back in glory. Just like them, we need patience. To me this says that we need to live each day as if he is coming soon, and keep living as Jesus wants us to even if it means we will spend years doing so. In the long run, it doesn't matter whether or not Jesus returns during our lifetime. We will be judged at the time of our death. We don't want to be found unworthy. I never worry about the end of the world for this reason. I only need to be concerned with my end! The way we live each day, the choices we make to live as Jesus calls us to live, the way we work for justice, will determine whether we spend eternity in the kingdom or not. The kingdom of the Lord is at hand for each of us even though we don't know the day or the hour. Let us work each day to be prepared to meet Jesus when he comes for us.
Have a blessed day
