TEXT: PROV 21: 14, 6:5,16-17
JER 4:6
INTRODUCTION:
Pride is a sin because it removes man's need for God.As our Creator, God has some rights over us.
Pride is a sin. "A haughty look, a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked are sin" (prov. 21:14). Pride strips God of these rights. Pride stands in the way of man rendering the praise and obedience due unto God. Pride will eventually make man out to be his own god.

CONCLUSION:
As children of God let us take our pride before God, we should be humble.
God's attitude toward the pride of man should alert us to the seriousness of his sin. God hates the proud (prov. 6:16-17). He resists the proud ( Jer. 4:6) and finds them to be an abomination ( Prov. 6:5).
