THEME: Forgiveness.
Biblical definition of the word forgiveness:
1, Forgiveness is to stop and forget feeling angry with some body who have wrong you.
2, To stop remembering their fault committed against you. (Hebrew 8:12 "for I will be merciful to their iniquities and i will remember their sins no more".)
Who to be forgiven:
1, anyone who has committed sin against you.
2, A truly repentant.
3, Anyone who has confess. (1 John 1:9 "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness".)
Why forgiveness is Important.
1, It restored and built up a good relationship.
2, For our sins to be forgiven too.
(Mark 11:25 "whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your father who is in heaven will also forgive you your sins".)
3, Anything you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; and when you permit, it will be permitted in heaven. Matthew 18:18.
What is expected of believers:
1, Forgiving heart.
Colossians 3:13("forgiving each other just as the Lord forgave you.
Bearing with one another. Colossians 3:13.
Be kind to one another. Ephesians 4:32.
Showing much love.
Examples of Jesus, that shows Jesus forgive:
1, peter denying Jesus after peter confess, Jesus forgive him.
2, people who crucified Jesus. "Jesus said Father, forgive them for they don't know what they are doing Luke 23:24.
3, paralyzed man. Matthew 9:2-8
4, woman who anointed Jesus feet. Luke 7:44-50.
Forgive so that you will be forgiven.
If God can forgive you with all your sins have committed, why not you to forgive your brother and sister?
