WHAT TO DO TO OVERCOME INTERNAL WEAKNESS: THE ENEMY OF PRAYERS
Internal weakness is real.
Sometimes it’s not the devil stopping us—
it’s our own flesh, emotions, tiredness, and distractions (Matthew 26:41).
But God has given us ways to overcome this silent enemy:
1️⃣ Feed Your Spirit Daily with the Word
“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” — Romans 10:17
A starving spirit cannot lead a strong prayer life.
*The more Scripture you take in, the stronger your desire to pray becomes.
*Even one verse a day can shift your heart from weakness to willingness.
2️⃣ Ask the Holy Spirit for Help
“The Spirit helps us in our weakness.” — Romans 8:26
*Don’t try to overcome prayer weakness by human strength.
*Pray this every morning: “Holy Spirit, give me the desire, discipline, and joy of prayer.”
The Spirit gives the strength your flesh refuses to give.
3️⃣ Set a Simple, Consistent Prayer Routine
*Start small. Be consistent.
The devil doesn’t fear long prayers—
he fears daily prayers.
*One fixed time and One fixed place is equal to BIG SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION
Consistency breaks laziness.
4️⃣ Remove Distractions When It’s Prayer Time
Phones off.
Door closed.
Thoughts focused on Jesus.
“Go into your room… shut the door and pray.” — Matthew 6:6
A distracted mind leads to a defeated prayer life.
Silence makes space for God’s voice.
5️⃣ Pray When You Feel Weak — That’s Victory!
Weakness is not failure.
It is the moment God’s power appears.
“My strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
Just show up.
Whisper a prayer.
Open your Bible.
Take one step—and heaven will take the rest.
6️⃣ Surround Yourself with People Who Pray
Prayer is contagious.
“They continued steadfastly… in prayers.” — Acts 2:42
Those who walk with prayer warriors never remain prayer weaklings.
