Meet Marion Kamara, a Public health student, the Student Regional Committee Chairperson for SLEFES NorthKono, she was formerly a Muslim but began her journey with Christ in June 2023. She fully surrendered her life to Christ in September, during our National Conference, Engage 2024, held at the Njala University Bo Campus. Since then, her Christian growth has been remarkable, as she intentionally interacted with mature believers who helped nurture her faith.

Her spiritual transformation and exemplary lifestyle led to her Selection as President of her fellowship at Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST), Makeni. She was faithfully discipled by the former SRC Chairperson, which further strengthened her leadership and spiritual maturity.

This year, she has been selected as the SRC Chairperson for the SLEFES NorthKono Region. Let us continue to uphold her in prayer as she explores God’s call and gifts upon her life, and as she serves faithfully in the ministry of SLEFES. 🅿 Bless Jesus for a successful retreat of the Impact Media oversight committee this past weekend. It was a moment of praying, planning and listening to the Lord for direction.

🅿 Pray that SLEFES(students, staff & associates) will be wholly set apart for God's purpose, walking in holiness and obedience.

🅿 Pray for wisdom, clarity and unity among all leadership teams from governance, management and all operational levels.

SLEFES UNIMAK FELLOWSHIP – APPRECIATION & ENCOURAGEMENT NOTE

We give thanks to God for His faithfulness and abiding presence among us during today’s SLEFES UNIMAK fellowship. We are deeply grateful for the good attendance and the spirit of unity, commitment, and hunger for God that was evident among the students.

Your willingness to show up, despite academic pressures and other demands, is a clear testimony of your love for Christ and your commitment to the fellowship. Truly, God is at work in our midst, strengthening us and building a Christ-centered community on campus.

We encourage every member to continue this good work. Let us remain steadfast, consistent, and devoted, knowing that our labour in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). As we press on, may God continue to increase us spiritually, numerically, and in impact.

To God alone be the glory.

UPDATE, IMPACT & THANK YOU NOTE – SLEFES PORT LOKO STUDENT LEADERS’ RETREAT

We give thanks to God for the successful completion of the SLEFES Port Loko Student Leaders’ Retreat, held from 7th–8th January, 2026. The retreat was characterized by sound biblical teaching, fervent prayers, sincere worship, and a renewed commitment to Christ-centered leadership.

Impact of the Retreat

Student leaders gained deeper understanding of knowing God as the foundation of Christian leadership, emphasizing intimacy with God over position.

Participants developed clear biblical convictions on obedience as a mark of leadership and the call to personal sanctification.

Leaders were reoriented to the SLEFES vision and mission, strengthening unity, identity, and purpose across campus fellowships.

There was a renewed hunger for Scripture engagement and personal devotion, with many committing to consistent quiet times and disciplined spiritual habits.

Participants were equipped with practical insights on time management, helping them balance academics, ministry, and personal life.

The retreat fostered spiritual renewal, accountability, and strengthened resolve to lead by example within their Christian Unions.
