TOPIC: Walk Worthy of
Your Calling!

TEXT: Ephesians 4:1-3 (KJV) "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

DEVOTIONAL Apostle Paul was put in prison, but he did not allow that to limit his preaching of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. He knew that he was called to teach and preach the gospel; hence, he did not allow anything to restrict him from fulfilling his calling (2 Timothy 2:9). He is exhorting believers in Christ Jesus to walk worthy of their calling.

Dear beloved, what has the Lord called you to do? It could be singing, ushering, teaching, cleaning, giving, etc. in the Kingdom of God. Make sure you walk worthy of that vocation or calling so that people can bear good testimony about you (1 Corinthians 15:58). Do it with humility, patience, and consideration of your other brethren in love; keep the unity of the Spirit. Let people who come around you feel the joy and peace of God in you and be blessed. Hallelujah! Be service-conscious!

PRAYER POINTS 🙏🙏🙏🙏: My gracious Father, thank You for reminding me to walk worthy of my calling. I put Your Word to work immediately so that many people can benefit and be blessed from the vocation or calling upon my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: THE NAME OF JESUS WORKS

Friday 8th October 2021

TEXT: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John 14:14

DEVOTIONAL: Beloved, the kind of name you have determines how people will receive you. There are many names under the sun, but the only name that surpasses all other names in heaven, on earth, and under the earth is the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth (Philippians 2:9–11). Therefore, if Jesus said you should ask anything in His name and He will do it, just ask and wait for Him to do it. Only, make sure that what you are asking has been approved by the Holy Scriptures. If what you have asked is supported by His Word, then don’t complain or murmur but wait patiently for Him to do it.

Beloved, remember that your time is not His time; He is a God who works in His own time because His time is the best and perfect one (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Only praise Him and thank Him for your request, so that your joy will continually be aflame to receive the answer or reward. Dearly beloved, the name of Jesus works. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!

PRAYER POINTS 🙏 🙏🙏🙏: My dear Lord Jesus Christ, I bless Your name. Indeed, Your words are certain—if I ask anything in Your name, You will do it. Please, I ask for a life that pleases You, giving joy and solutions to people and drawing them closer to You. Amen!

TOPIC: CAN GOD TRUST YOU

TEXT: Genesis 2:5 (KJV) “And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.”

DEVOTION: Beloved, if the children of God understood the mind of God concerning life, they would make a great impact on society and in their sphere of contact. The LORD God is not as difficult to deal with as many may think; He knows the strength and weaknesses of His children (Psalms 139:1–14). As a Father, He has a great responsibility to take care of His own and all that He has created.

Beloved, even though God can do it alone, He is also looking for a man or woman He can trust, to use as a channel of blessing to reach others. Thus, He wants us to develop the character of doing good, pay no evil for evil, be forgiving, and live a holy life so that He can reach others through us (Ephesians 4:32). Dear beloved, let us avail ourselves to God so He can always count on us when the need arises. Praise the Lord! Be trustworthy!

My Father and my God, thank You for enlightening me today. Please, I offer myself to You. Please trust me and commit tasks to me, and through Your grace and wisdom, I will execute them to the glory of Your name. Amen!
