ROIFFI Academy Officially Inaugurated in Kambia District

The Revival of Islamic Faith Foundation International Academy (ROIFFI Academy) has officially opened its doors following a successful inauguration ceremony held on the 12th September 2025, in Kambia District.

The event was graced by prominent religious and community leaders, including the Magbema Chiefdom Chief Imam, the third Imam of Kambia District Central Mosque, the third Imam of Kubah Mosque in Kambia, as well as Mr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kamara, Chief Executive Officer of Hope Times Newspaper, who traveled from Freetown with his wife to witness the occasion.

The program featured recitations from the Holy Qur’an, culminating in a closing du’a. Following the inauguration, a teachers’ training and induction session continued, focusing on vital areas such as maintaining a school pupils’ attendance register, and the role of teachers in promoting and marketing the academy.

School Administrator Al Amin Edwards also outlined the teachers’ schemes of work, emphasizing the subject content to be covered across all grade levels offered at the academy.

Speaking at the event, the management assured parents that ROIFFI Academy is committed to providing quality education and holistic growth for pupils, noting that parents will not regret entrusting their children’s future to the institution.

ROIFFI FEEDING SUPPORT TO VULNERABLE MASJIDS IN KAMBIA DISTRICT
IMPLEMENTATION DAY KEEPS OFF!

بسم الله الرحمي رحيم
Assalamu alaikum wa Ramatullahi wa Barakatu wonderful people of Islam.
This morning we get started with our project implementation, distributing food items (like rice, bundles of water and loaves of bread) at the Kenneday community Masjid named Masjid Mubarak after which we went to Masjid Rabitha at Hospital Road Kambia 1 before moving up to Kapiero, Matham and Makasa villages.
As we continue to explore the beauty of Allah Ta'ala's creations in this part of the country, we later on went to Rokoya village community Masjid in Magbema chiefdom.
A hour later, we went to IDA and Philip Street Masjids located in two different communities.
With the passion of working and propagating Allah's Deen, we surpassed the burning heat of the sun and moved up to cross the Rogberay bridge at the Dixon chiefdom to reach out to the Da- re salaam Masjid at Old customs. This was the chiefdom where Islam entered through Guinea to Sierra Leone. The first Islamic college was opened here.
We however later went back to Malal village via Romakka village in the Kambia Freetown Highway.
These Muslim beneficiaries were not expecting us nor knowing us before.
This good act is from our individual and collective contributions as members of this foundation (without receiving any help from a donor or Islamic Organization).
We however pray for Allah's acceptance of this generous act from us and make us achieve our ROIFFI Dream.
We therefore call on everyone Muslim home and abroad to do the same in helping vulnerable Muslim communities with any little thing or much.

INSIDE RAMADAN -
The second Ten Days of Ramadan:
The second days of Ramadan start from the 11th and end on the 20th of Ramadan. These are the days of Magfirah (i.e the days of forgiveness).
Allah Ta'ala's forgiveness come on this second ten days of Ramadan. Therefore, a Muslim is required to seek Allah's forgiveness, ask and beg his/her Rabb (Lord) daily in the morning and night more than the usual times he/she used to do in the other months.
These are the days sins of believers will be forgiven by Allah.
It is however recommended that we recite phrases of forgiveness.
May Allah Ta'ala grant us the good health and provisions to finish the remaining days of Ramadan and earn the precious blessings of fasting in Ramadan.

THE ROIFFI DREAM~
What is the ROIFFI Dream?
The ROIFFI Dream is to serve humanity with One Path sustainably. We can do this by helping the poor, children, vulnerable people, orphans, disabled, widows, reverts, feeding the hungry and clothing the naked among us. We can do this by also doing Dawah, establishing Islamic centered places of learning both Islam and western education, building Masjids in villages , towns and reaching out to people in need in times of depression, pandemic and epidemic.

ROIFFI RAMADAN ACTION PLAN?
Assalamu alaikum wa Ramatullahi wa Barakatu wonderful people of Islam and greetings to people of other faiths.
We are currently raising funds to support vulnerable Muslims with Iftar (food use to break the fast) and other food items to be used in the last ten days of Ramadan.
We are targeting ten (10) Masjids in both Kambia and Makeni City in Sierra Leone.
Our foundation has been a self-reliant one since its establishment.
That means all our previous humanitarian activities have been funded through individual contributions and a collective sense of brotherhood in giving generously to those in needy for Allah's sake.
As it stands, we are collecting and Mobilizing resources to get this activity started in the last ten days.
Your financial contributions, support and positive directions will be of need to us.
Allah Ta'ala will surely reward you more than you can imagine!
Feed a fasting Muslim in Ramadan and get a reward like his/hers without Allah reducing nothing from him/her.

POEM TITLE: MESSAGES FROM A POOR FASTING MUSLIM

I am a Muslim and I am proud of that!
I will not spend my years in this life meaningfully without fasting annually in the month of Ramadan.
Though things are tough,
I will still stand firm and hold my faith
Life is hard and rough
Yet still little do people remembered me around!
In tears I call for help
I have nothing to start my fast as a su-our
Ploughing down the earth, I pray for Allah's favours
Neither do I have what to take as Iftar
Little do rich people do about it
In this worldly flight to Jannah, I reflect and pause a while!
What are Muslims for?
In greed we smile and disguise ourselves daily!
Is this the real Islam our Noble Prophet (SAW) preached?

Don't ignore me
Don't push me out!
But pour your kindness in me
It isn't alright to say until you are satisfied before you spend a little towards me
Even a dinnar amid others counts
In the evening your spouses are busy making lofty dishes
But in my little corner, I called home, there is nothing to start with!
Yet you can't even digest all of them
You can't even finish them
Just waiting to be thrown and ready to decay
It's not my fault
For I had tried and tried
I had worked hard since the word go
But this is fate and how Allah destined me to be
A needy person whose status is as the little finger amongst the five in every hand we possess.

I'm a Muslim and I'm poor
You can see my kinds allover the world
In your Masjids you can see me
In every family, enquire about me
It won't take you long to find me
I'm not difficult to find
Not because you see me in a nice dress!
I am a poor believer in a nice clothing
Ney! Not all poor people appeared in faded or teared dressings.

The Launching of ROIFFI Northeastern wing Sierra Leone in Makeni City.

Assalamu alaikum wa Ramatullahi wa Barakatu wonderful people of Islam and greetings to all our wonderful followers.
On the 28th of December 2024, the Revival of Islamic Faith Foundation International - ROIFFI launched its Northeastern wing SL in Makeni City.
The launching activity was funded through collective financial contributions from its members in Makeni City, Northwestern wing SL members, Western Urban wing SL members, Abroad wing members and Muslims from different Masjids in Makeni City.

Objectives of the launching:
1. To bring the ROIFFI Dream to the hearts of Muslims both young and old
2. To propagate the beauty of Islam, its fundamental beliefs and values
3. To educate Muslims on the importance of acquiring Islamic education, importance of spending in Allah's Religion Islam, and why choosing Islam as our religion.
4. To propagate the beauty of Hijjab in the lives of Muslim women through drama
5. To showcase the ROIFFI Quranic Academy's young inspiring generation of scholars and Muftis through talent expo
