Today, April 26th, 2026, the Shell Ward of the Kissy Sierra Leone Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered for a powerful and uplifting Ward Conference at the Kissy Sierra Leone Stake Centre, with the theme: Jesus is the way.

​From the opening hymn to the closing prayers, the atmosphere was filled with a tangible sense of faith and community.

A historic turnout of over 350 members in attendance represents a significant increase in membership, which reflects the growing strength of the growth and dedication of the ward.

On Saturday, 21st March, 2026, the sisters of the Kissy Sierra Leone Stake came together for a spectacular celebration at Kent Beach in celebrationof the 184th Anniversary of the Relief Society. It was a day filled with sunshine, sisterhood, and the spirit of "Charity Never Faileth."

The outing was packed with:
• ​🚢 Boat rides across the beautiful blue waters.
• ​👑 A glamorous beauty pageant showcasing our sisters' inner and outer radiance.
• ​💃 Dancing and singing that echoed all along the shore.
• ​🍲 Delicious food and wonderful fellowship.

​From the laughter during the pageant to the quiet moments of connection by the waves, it was the perfect way to honor 184 years of this inspired organization. Thank you to everyone who made this day so special!

A night of glamour, a moment of bliss; the stage is set and the carpet of radiance is laid at the Kissy Sierra Leone Stake Centre, as members of the Stake Presidency, Bishopric and wives, organizational leaders and the Stake Choir gathered together for the Stake end of year dinner party held on the 18th of December, 2025.

The ambiance was cozy and the energy was lit. It was a blend of sophistication, class and radiance all wrapped in humility and love 💕 ❤️

On 29th November 2025, members of Shell Ward participated in the Render Service Project, an initiative aimed at extending love and support to God's Healing Power Deliverance Ministry Church. As part of their efforts, they painted the entire church, reaching out not just to the church community but beyond. This activity was carried out as part of the "Light the World" celebration, which highlights the values of service, compassion, and fostering community connections.

The project provided both practical assistance and spiritual encouragement to the church members. The congregants of God's Healing Power Deliverance Ministry were deeply moved by the support from Shell Ward. They expressed heartfelt gratitude for the contributions, emphasizing the positive impact it had on their church and the surrounding community.

Members of Shell Ward found great joy and fulfillment in participating in this effort. Their enthusiasm shone through in their willingness to engage and collaborate meaningfully with members of the community. As "Light the World" reminds us of the transformative power of service, this project stands as a testament to its profound impact on individuals and communities alike. It echoes the teachings found in *Mosiah 2:17*, which encourage service to others as a means of serving God.

Today, 29th November 2025, the Kissy Zone in the Kissy Sierra Leone Stake had a zone baptism in which 23 souls were added into the fold of God.

While interviewing missionaries and leaders about how they felt about this remarkable event, they expressed immense joy and appreciation and stated that, the baptism reaffirms their purpose as missionaries, which is “to invite others to come unto Christ”.

It was a moment of great joy not only for missionaries and members of the church, but also for the candidates themselves because they understood that baptism is not just a one-off event, but a life-changing covenant that they have entered into with our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ.
