WE DON CAM BACK OOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
WE ARE HERE AGAIN!!!
NOUS SOMMES DE NOUVEAU ICI!!!
Hope of Christ Foundation: September Back-to-School Project.
We are excited to present our September Back-to-School Project. We hope to support 100 underprivileged children with tuition fees, uniforms, writing & drawing materials, backpacks, etc. to the upcoming school reopening this year.
Our targeted areas are the Old Skool (Fmr. Bacardi’s Night Club) & Gban-Gban Yilla settlements at Hill Station in the Western Urban, Freetown – Sierra Leone.
We started doing Christmas feeding for less privileged children about seven years ago, we decided to focus on education because the learning process of some children sometimes stops abruptly due to the lack of financial support.
This has been a concern to us, most of these parents are stone miners in the then quarry at Gban-Gban Yilla and its surroundings, and some are woodcutters. If they are fortunate enough, they’ll be hired as domestic helpers or do bricklayers, and steel benders on the nearby sites.
Note, we do not despise their labour; but with the number of children at home, feeding and sending them to school is a big challenge. Most children are asked to follow their parents to work as assistants to bring more cash to the family; this is why child marriages are on the increase, and teenage pregnancy and early motherhood are also common in these communities.
We kindly ask you to help bring change to these children and support the Hope for Christ Foundation September Back-to-School Project for a wonderful & bright future for our children.
We accept whatever you can give “cash or kind.”
Moreover, Nelson Mandela’s quote: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Our financial target is £2500 ($3000)
Thank you for being part of our back-to-school project. We look forward to your partnering with the Hope for Christ Foundation

There's no need to be PERFECT to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how we deal with our IMPERFECTIONS.

Happy International Women's Day to these special women in my life. Thinking about where we've come from. We are still going forward.

TOPIC: Faithful Men Wanted

TEXT: Nehemiah 7:1-4
1. Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

2. That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.

3. And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.

4. Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.

KEY VERSE: "That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many." - (Nehemiah 7:2)

MESSAGE: The word "faithful" has become a very scarce commodity in today's world. Many nations of the world are in crisis because those who run the affairs of such countries are not faithful men and women. They are those who appropriate the commonwealth to themselves, leaving the masses to pine in penury. Although they promise to serve selflessly, they are, unfortunately, not accountable to the people. They are selfish and self-serving.

In many religious circles, the scarcity of faithful ministers and leaders has become a huge threat to the gospel, as many of them are interested in the purse and not in the pursuit of souls.

The testimony of Nehemiah concerning his brother, Hanani, that he was a faithful man, is a challenge to every professing believer. He appointed him to take charge over Jerusalem because of his faithfulness. He knew that he would not take advantage of the appointment to feather his own nest; Nehemiah also knew that he would not take undue advantage of their familiarity to perpetrate acts that would embarrass him.

Nowadays, people abuse privileges. When appointed into positions of authority, they pride themselves above the law. They are unruly and uncontrollable.

People who handle God's work with levity or make merchandise of His people cannot escape His judgment except they repent. How do you handle your secular and ministerial work? Remember, God watches our motives and actions.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God rewards faithfulness.

TOPIC: Do Not Fret

TEXT: Isaiah 7:1-9
1. And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.

2. And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.

3. Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field;

4. And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.

5. Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,

6. Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:

7. Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

8. For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.

9. And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.

KEY VERSE: "Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass." - (Isaiah 7:7).

MESSAGE: Since the coming of the social media, many more people appear to have died of heartaches and unnecessary fear through the misuse of such channel. Every day, people post all manner of heart-rending pieces of information through the social media, many of which are outright falsehood. Thus, people's hearts are failing them; many die as a result of fear.

At this time in this history of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, the people had fallen far away from God that they made a league with Syria to fight against Judah. Despite the gang-up, God sent Isaiah to King Ahaz to tell him, "...take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainhearted..." It was a time to remain calm in the face of an alliance of two nations that sought to conquer Jerusalem.

God also challenged Ahaz by saying, "If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established". This was an opportunity for Him to call on Ahaz to believe what He was saying through His prophet, Isaiah. If he did not believe, he would be taken out.

The days we live in are dangerous; fears lurk within and without. There are many events and happenings that threaten people's faith. Families are going through searing poverty; diseases and infirmities are wreaking havocs on many people. News of retrenchments, economic recessions, massacres and of impending wars have become a routine.

As believers, we are encouraged never to lose faith in the midst of all these challenges. Instead, we should continue to look unto God, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Whatever is the situation, once God has given His assurances, we must take it as final.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Only divine assurances are potent enough to bring hope.
