MAKING JESUS PROUD.

Colossians 3:17 (NIV): "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
This verse encourages believers to do everything in the name of Jesus, indicating that their actions should reflect the teachings and character of Christ.
Ephesians 5:1-2 (NIV): "Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."
Here, believers are encouraged to imitate God and walk in love, just as Christ demonstrated His love by sacrificing Himself.

NEW LIFE KINGDOM INTERNATIONAL MINITIRES CHURCH SIERRA LEONE GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE 7TH APRIL 2023

As we gather here on this Good Friday, let us reflect on the true meaning of the Christian life. Our faith is not just about attending church on Sundays or following a set of rules and regulations. Rather, it is about living a life that is centered on Christ and His sacrifice for us.

In Hebrews chapter 12 verse 1, we read, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

The author of Hebrews reminds us that we are not alone in our Christian journey. We have the support and encouragement of the "great cloud of witnesses" who have gone before us and who have lived their lives for Christ. But in order to fully embrace our Christian life, we must let go of the things that hinder us and the sins that hold us back.

What are the things that hinder us in our Christian life? They could be anything that distracts us from our relationship with Christ - whether it be material possessions, unhealthy relationships, or even our own pride and selfishness. These things can weigh us down and make it difficult for us to run the race that God has marked out for us.

And what about the sin that easily entangles us? We all struggle with sin in our lives, whether it be anger, greed, jealousy, or any number of other vices. But as Christians, we are called to turn away from these things and instead live a life that is pleasing to God.

So how do we do this? How do we live a life that is centered on Christ and free from the things that hinder us and the sin that entangles us? The answer is simple - we must fix our eyes on Jesus.

The author of Hebrews goes on to say in verse 2, "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Jesus is the one who gives our lives meaning and purpose. He is the one who has gone before us and who has made the ultimate sacrifice for our salvation. When we fix our eyes on Him, we are able to see the path that He has laid out for us and we are empowered to follow it with perseverance.

So as we reflect on the meaning of the Christian life this Good Friday, let us remember to throw off the things that hinder us, turn away from sin, and fix our eyes on Jesus. Let us run the race marked out for us with perseverance and trust in the One who has already won the victory for us.

Palm Sunday is a significant day in the Christian calendar, commemorating Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem just days before his crucifixion. On this day, many churches deliver sermons focused on Jesus' message of love, compassion, and sacrifice.

One theme that may be discussed in Palm Sunday sermons is spiritual cleanliness, which is a concept drawn from Romans 13:5. This passage speaks of the importance of obeying the laws of the land, not just out of fear of punishment but also out of a desire to do what is right in the eyes of God.

The concept of spiritual cleanliness refers to the idea that our actions and attitudes can either draw us closer to God or push us away from Him. When we live in accordance with God's laws and strive to follow His will, we become spiritually clean and pure. Conversely, when we engage in sinful behaviors or harbor negative thoughts and emotions, we become spiritually unclean and distant from God.

*New Life Kingdom International Ministry Church Sierra Leone on their revival service on the 24 March 2022 with the topic "The latter house shall be greater than the former. Haggi 2 verse 9".*

It is wonderful to hear about the revival service held by the New Life Kingdom International Ministry Church in Sierra Leone on March 24, 2022, with the theme of *"The latter house shall be greater than the former" from Haggai 2:9.*

This verse from Haggai 2:9 speaks of the promise of God to his people that the glory of the latter house (i.e., the temple) will be greater than the former. The verse is a reminder that God is always faithful to His promises, and that His plans for His people are always greater than what they can imagine.
