Join us this Thursday, 28 May 2026, at Upperlight Online for a powerful evening of worship, prayer, and unity. Pastor David Jeremiah Mok will share a message titled “Living in God’s Will Through Prayer,” as we realign our hearts through the three movements of 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, rejoicing always (upward) as we lift our hearts in joy to God, praying without ceasing (inward) as we cultivate continual dependence on Him, and giving thanks in all circumstances (outward) as gratitude overflows into every part of our lives.

Pastor Peter Koh will lead the ministry segment, and together we will move forward in God’s will, anchored in His presence and led by His Holy Spirit. We look forward to seeing you at 7:50 PM for the Upperlight Pre-service prayer. Come with expectant faith, ready for His move!

We follow Jesus not because it’s easy or comfortable, but because there is more life, more purpose, more of everything that actually matters in Him than the world could ever offer.

The discomfort is temporary. What He gives is not.

Mary Magdalene stood outside Jesus’ tomb, overwhelmed with grief and confusion, believing she had lost Him forever. In her sorrow, Jesus drew near, spoke gently, and called her by name. Instantly, her despair turned into joy.

This reveals the heart of Christ: He does not ignore our tears or abandon us in pain. Jesus remains our Comforter today. His comfort is not merely emotional relief but supernatural peace that sustains and heals us in seasons of sorrow, grief, and affliction. When we call upon Him, His presence draws near and restores our souls.

Join us this Thursday for Upperlight via Zoom as Pastor Daniel Lim shares a message titled “Jesus our Comforter”. Pastor Timothy Tan will lead in the Ministry Segment. Look forward to seeing you at 7:50 PM for Pre-Service Prayer.

If we are willing to change to save a marriage,
then we already understand what love requires.

The question is whether that same willingness
exists in our relationship with God.

In a lot of Asian families, the eldest doesn't get to be weak. You learn early to handle things quietly, not burden anyone, and keep going no matter what's underneath.

But that kind of strength has a cost. And at some point, the weight of holding it all together starts to hollow you out.

The hardest thing isn't admitting you're tired. It's admitting you never had to carry it alone.

In the course of our lives, we may hear the cries of fellow brothers and sisters such as, "Why me?… Why do I have to go through this? Life is so unfair! Where are You, O Lord?"

And there will be others who make statements like, "I just want to make more money", or "I want a better life for my family and for myself."

Brothers and Sisters, it seems we have come to a point where many are asking God, "Is life fair?" But perhaps the better question is this: how can we come to a place of glorifying God while also experiencing His great abundance?

Join us this Thursday for Upperlight via Zoom as Pastor Nehemiah Ng shares a message titled "What Life Is All About" Pastor Lawrence Khoo will lead the Ministry Segment. We look forward to seeing you at 7:50 PM for the Pre-Service Prayer.

I’m just too busy for God.
Most of us would not say that out loud, but many of us know what it feels like to live that way.

Life gets full. Work piles up. People need us. We keep moving, and before long, time with God starts to feel like something we will come back to when life settles down. The problem is that life rarely settles down on its own.

That is what makes busyness dan gerous. It does not always pull us away from God through obvious sin. Sometimes it pulls us away through constant distraction and quiet delay. We stay responsible in many areas, but disconnected in the one place that should hold us steady.

The answer is not to wait for a calmer life. The answer is to let God remain first even in a full one.

You were never meant to carry everything alone.

Many of us learn to survive by holding things together, fixing our own problems, and pushing through quietly. But at some point, self-reliance runs dry.
God did not design us to walk alone.
He gives us His presence, and He also gives us people.

People who pray with us. People who carry burdens with us. People who sit with us when life does not make sense.
That is why community matters.

It is not just about having people around you. It is about being connected to people who help you remember God when you feel too tired to hold on.

"But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; Suddenly they shall be wounded." (Psalm 64:7)

If you were to read the first six verses of this Psalm, you would find the enemy seemingly having his way in every area of David's life. Everything changes in verse 7 when David proclaims those two powerful words — "But God…"

When God steps onto the scene, everything changes. Perhaps you are in need of a "But God" moment. No matter how difficult your situation may be, God is able to turn everything around in an instant.

Join us tonight at Upperlight, and come with expectation for God to move powerfully in our time of prayer. Pastor Samuel Sam shares a message titled "Equipped for Spiritual Battles". Pastor Lawrence Khoo will lead the Ministry Segment. We look forward to seeing you at 7:50PM for pre-service prayer.
