One of the most prominent Catholic in our times - Mother Teresa said this: "Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty." Anyone can feel lonely, even a person who is rich, powerful, healthy, with all the material comforts in the world. Love, care and affection is something that cannot be replicated from a product or a service. These emotions are vibes connecting peop
le with the outpouring from the generosity of heart. Therefore as followers of Christ, we undertake this mission He has entrusted us to - to go forth and love our neighbours. And we start with our parishioners who have reached out to us mutually, allowing us into their lives to share this blessing from God. We acknowledge that all we do come from God and that it is a privilege to be called to serve, and it is a constant reminder for us as we give thanks and praise every time we meet. Our opening prayer reminds us to stay focused on our mission to serve and to do it with humility, whilst our closing prayer keeps us uplifted and eager to go forth and share the love Christ has given us. As we draw strength from our Lord and each other, we hope that our mission will be like seeds of love that sprout and develop into a whole forest...Spreading love, peace and joy to others.
