What makes up the church? It is the assembly of believers.

Together we become
- the body of Christ (Rom 12:4)
- the bride of Christ (Eph 5:23)
- the family of God (Eph 1:5)

Let us gather in church to meet one another, spurring and encouraging each other, just as Hebrews 10:24-25 says.

YA CONNECT: CHRISTIANS AND SOCIAL JUSTICE

“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, and plead the widow’s cause,” (Isaiah 1:17).

Doing social justice includes both the righting of wrongs and showing charity to the vulnerable. The speaker will look at Nehemiah’s example of doing justice to the vulnerable during his time at Jerusalem and share specific applications of practicing social justice in an overseas and Singapore situation.

When it comes to hearing God in his word, committing ourselves to the life of a local church is like entering the best kind of echo chamber. . .

As we gather with the church for prayer, we learn not only how to pray, we remind ourselves of the priority of prayer and the centrality of God’s glory in our lives.

Many of us fail in our resolutions for spiritual disciplines and personal growth because we have failed to commit to the church.
