"God loves us, all of us, evil will not prevail. We are all in the hands of God. Without fear, united, hand in hand with God and among ourselves, we will go forward.

We are disciples of Christ, Christ goes before us, and the world needs His light. Humanity needs Him like a bridge to reach God and His love. You help us to build bridges with dialogue and encounter so we can all be one people always in peace."

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

We are deeply saddened to announce our Holy Father Pope Francis has passed away on Monday, 7:35am, April 21, 2025 in Vatican City.

Our Vicar of Christ has been a model of mercy and compassion. He was a champion of unity and hope, not just for Catholics, but for the world, especially the weak, the marginalised, and the poor.

Pope Francis' constant call for inclusivity gave the world a Church that welcomed all, especially those who yearned for love, mercy, and hope. His actions inspired the faithful to be the face of Christ to others and reach out to those on the fringes of society.

His earthly life was full of fervour for Christ's mission till the end, living out the words of his encyclical "Dilexit Nos" (He loved us) exuding love and serving with joy.

We thank the Lord for His gift of Pope Francis and his service on earth. Let us pray for the repose of his soul as we commend him into the embrace of our Heavenly Father.

May God grant him eternal rest and the reward of eternal life with the saints in heaven.

Over 160 Catholics in Singapore flocked to the Church of Our Lady Queen Of Peace to mark World Rosary Day. This was offered in conjunction with the Holy Father's call for a day of prayer and fasting for peace in the Middle East.

Fr. Reginald Marie OCD offered a brief catechesis on the devotion. Our 15 decades of the Rosary was followed by Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction.

We wish to thank Fr. Reginald, the Totus Tuus Apostolate and the Altar Servers of the parish for their dedication. May we all grow in virtue and devotion, to Jesus through Mary.

Blessed Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary! This feast is dear to our Fraternity, which belongs to the Our Lady of the Rosary Province of the Order of Preachers.

We thank God for the Holy Father's elevation of three brethren to the cardinalate: Archbishop Jean-Paul Vesco (Archbishop of Algiers), Archbishop Francis Leo (Archbishop of Toronto) and Fr. Timothy Radcliffe (former Master of the Dominican Order).

Fr. Radcliffe last visited Singapore in November 2009 to preach a retreat for the diocesan clergy. He also had a good chat with Fr. David Garcia OP and the Lay Dominicans!

Fr. Radcliffe is now in Rome serving as spiritual advisor to the Synod of Bishops. Do meditate upon his reflections for the Pre-Synod Retreat, which masterfully weave together Scripture and his life as missionary preacher.
