Text: Colossians 1:15-20

Key Verse:
"Christ is the image of the invisible God."
- Colossians 1:15a

Study:
God showed who He is through Jesus. And Jesus showed who He is through the church. God showed His characteristic, love, by showing Jesus its concrete manifestations. We as part of the body of Jesus in the world, have the duty to express God's love so that people can feel the truth that God is real and true.

Compliance:
We as the church, the image of God in the world, have the duty to show and express His love to our neighbor and to the world. Let's do it with full effort. Share the word of God with others.

Prayer:
"Use us, our God, to be Your perfect revelation to the world. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Text: Luke 23:33-38

Key Verse:..along with this taunt, "If thou art the King of the Jews, save thyself." -Luke 23:37

Study:
Many kings and rulers are selfish. "Self preservation of position, power and authority" is what they always want. For them, when they preserve it, they are secured. Often, they wrap their motives with beautiful promises just to get people to vote for them. But the example Jesus set was different. By sacrificing his life he saved the lives of many, especially those who put their faith and trust in Him. He denied himself the privilege of life just to show how much he loved those who loved him. And made him king of kings, by showing love even unto death. He was truly a selfless king.

Compliance:
If our king is selfless, we must emulate him. There is no other way of showing our love to our neighbors than by sacrificing our lives for them.

Prayer:
"Teach us Lord not to be selfish like you did. Help us to be more loving people and willing to sacrifice our lives for others. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Key Verses:
"Jesus told a parable to teach them that they should always pray and not lose hope."
- Luke 18:1

Study:
Trials do not disappear in our lives. That is a fact. And the effective way to deal with it is to have a positive attitude. And we can achieve a positive attitude by having the right relationship with God. A Christian is always positive because they always pray, read the bible and meditate on the words of God. So whatever comes to a Christian he can get and overcome because of his relationship with God.

Compliance:
Let's not stop eating relationship with God despite the trials that come in our lives. We always have a positive attitude.

Prayer:
“Lord, we believe and trust that we can face whatever comes our way through our relationship with You. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Psalms 66:1-12

Key Verses
“O God, you tested your chosen ones, you tested us to purify; and like silver, we are refined." - Psalms 66:10

Study:
According to our verse, God makes us go through the test not to destroy, But;
1. To purify.
2. To strengthen our faith and Christianity.
3. So that God prepares us for more severe challenges in faith.

Compliance:
In the midst of trials, we must cling to God even more.

Prayer:
"Our Father God, make us pure in our love, strong in our faith, and prepare us for the trials to come, until we succeed together. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Psalms 66:1-12

Key Verses:
This is to say to God the Great: “Your works are wonderful; the enemies will bow down in fear, because of your power." -Psalms 66:3

Study:
Like the Psalmist, let it be our daily desire to proclaim the wonderful works of God. With a thankful heart, it is not difficult to express God's goodness as well as His wonderful works in our lives. God is good all the time.

Let us not stop glorifying the name of the Lord despite discouraging situations because as true Christians and followers of Christ, it is clear in our hearts that we were created for the glory of God. Let us always bless His name.

Compliance:
We always begin a mighty day with the Lord by truly praising and thanking Him for His faithfulness.

Prayer:
"Our God, despite the pain, illness, trials and hardships we experience, we will continue to praise you and proclaim your goodness every day. And most of all being an OFW who are away from our love ones. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Jeremiah 29:1, 4-7

Key Verses
"But enrich the city that I brought you. Pray for them to Yahweh because you will also benefit if they prosper. -Jeremiah 29:7

Study:
Living in a foreign country is really hard for people. It's a huge adjustment. Jeremiah encouraged the people to make the city their home and continue to trust in the Lord.

As for us Christians, this world is not our true home. We are called to live here to the glory of God. And while we live here, let's pray that the Lord will bless our world because whatever blessing it achieves, we will also receive the same.

Compliance:
Let's pray for the order of the world because this is our temporary home while waiting for the return of the Lord.

Prayer:
“Thank you Lord for the assurance that you have a real home for us with you. Please help us honor you in our daily lives. In the name of Jesus. Amen”

Luke 17:6-10

Key Verse:
The Lord replied, "If your faith is the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this sycamore tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea!' and it will follow you." -Luke 17:6

Study:
The life of faith requires that we take our eyes off ourselves. We must look at what God is doing and act accordingly.

When we believe what God says about who he is and fully trust and have faith in him, great and powerful miracles become possible, because we are in tune with what God is doing.

Compliance:
We need to have the heart of a servant, who strives to obey God's commandments.

Prayer:
"Lord help us to see that our lives are only about serving you. Heal us from our self-centered lifestyle and focus it on you. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Luke 17:5-6

Key Verse:
The Lord replied, "If your faith is the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this sycamore tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea!' and it will follow you." - Luke 17:6

Study:
At first glance it seems that Jesus offers a kind of super power called faith. Just a sprinkle of faith and you can work miracles.

But He also puts faith in the context of obedience. Faith is not the ability to uproot trees according to your will or decision. It is about trusting in God's power so that when He is in control, we obey and act dependent on His miraculous power.

Spiritual gifts and miraculous powers can be given for the service of God. They were never given for us to boost our self-esteem or to gain praise from people.

Compliance:
Our focus should always be on serving the Lord with all our hearts, and not just on the rewards we will receive.

Prayer:
“Lord, you have promised great rewards to all who use it humbly. Help us Lord to look only to you so that we can serve you everything here at Christ Above All MC and elsewhere. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Psalms 91:14-16

Key Verses:
God said, "I will save those who are faithful to me, and I will protect any person I choose."
- Psalms 91:14

Study:
To all who trust in God, His promise is a certainty: THAT HIS PROTECTION WILL REMAIN WITH THEM FOR LIFE. This is what everyone who believes in God should hold. A promise of assurance, assurance that comes from God's faithfulness and love for us.

Compliance:
Don't worry about anything, but live our faith fully in God our Savior.

Prayer:
"Thank you, our Lord, for the assurance You have given us. We will remain obedient to You because true salvation is found in You alone. Continue to lead us through our Church that is Christ Above All, in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Luke 16:19-27

Key Paragraph:
"But the rich man said, 'Then, Father Abraham, I beg you to send Lazarus to my father's house,.." -Luke 16:27

Study:
The rich man in hell wanted to do something for the salvation of his brothers but it was too late. The rich man did not want his brothers to go to hell so he begged to send Lazarus to warn them but it was impossible.

What is possible?
We must be the answer to the rich man's prayer to save the sinners of our time while we are still alive and can do something for them, especially their salvation through Jesus Christ. Don't just watch sinners and feel sorry for them. God has commissioned us to bring His love for them and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Compliance:
Let's decide to do more for the salvation of the soul to the feet of the Lord Jesus.

Prayer:
"Our Father God, give us true compassion for those who are lost so that we can deliver your love and salvation to them as in our congregation “Christ Above All". Give us power and use our lives to bring more souls for you. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Let's share this to others👍🏼
