Today marks the first anniversary since Pope Francis went to be with the Lord. He brought the spirituality of the Society of Jesus into his leadership by emphasizing discernment, humility, and mission. His key achievements include shaping a more pastoral and inclusive Church, advocating strongly for the poor and migrants, and raising global awareness on environmental care through Laudato Si’. Through Evangelii Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel), he set the tone for a missionary Church committed to evangelization at the peripheries reaching those most excluded both geographically and spiritually reflecting a deeply Jesuit vision of service, justice, and finding God in all things.

And as the Church marks the first anniversary of his passing, Vatican News has released a new documentary "Todos, todos, todos" reflecting on the life and legacy of the first Jesuit Pope.

To remember is our duty, it is also a way of restoring the dignity of the lives taken during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
Today at Centre Christus, we gathered in prayer to honor the memory of our Jesuit fathers and those who were with them and reaffirm our commitment: to remember, unite, renew.
May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in eternal peace.
