I Must: The Heartbeat of Kingdom Evangelism

Jesus said, "I must preach the Kingdom of God" (Luke 4:43). In Mark 1:38, He also said, "Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come."
These words reveal what was truly in His heart.

Think about it—one of the clearest signs that a person is alive is a heartbeat. Our hearts do not beat only when we feel like it or when it is convenient. They beat continuously because that is what they were created to do.

In the same way, the Gospel is the lifeline of God's Kingdom. Jesus said, "The words I speak are spirit and life" (John 6:63). Just as blood carries life throughout the body, the Gospel carries salvation, healing, freedom, hope, and restoration.

But what happens when the Gospel stops with us?

Just as the body cannot survive without blood, people cannot experience spiritual life without hearing the Gospel. That is why Jesus said, "I must." He understood the value of every soul and the urgency of the mission.

Jesus did not keep the mission to Himself. He invited His followers to continue it, and that calling still applies to us today. We are called to share the Good News wherever God has placed us.

Without the Gospel, people remain spiritually lost. They continue searching for purpose, truth, and identity in the wrong places. They may never come to know the God who created them or the hope found in Jesus.

This message reminds us that heaven is real, hell is real, and people cannot believe in a message they have never heard. That is why silence in the Church is dangerous.

The heartbeat of the Kingdom is evangelism. A church can have great programs, worship, and buildings, but if people are not being reached, something important is missing.

Evangelism was never meant to be seasonal, it should be part of our everyday lives.

Jesus said, "I must preach."
The Church should say, "We must go."

The heartbeat of Jesus was never comfort, popularity, or staying where it was safe. His heart was always focused on reaching people and advancing the Kingdom of God. As His followers, that should be our heartbeat too.

The Gospel is more than information. It is Heaven's rescue mission for humanity. Sharing it is not just for pastors or leaders, it is a responsibility for every believer.

And for those who hear the Gospel, there is also a response required. If God is speaking to your heart, do not ignore His voice or harden your heart. Repent, believe, and follow Him while His grace is available.

The tragedy is not only when someone refuses to share the Gospel, but also when someone hears it repeatedly and never responds.

May our prayer be that we must carry the same heartbeat as Jesus, a heart that cares for souls, shares the Gospel, and responds in obedience to advance God’s Kingdom.

You can pour out for others and still be dry within.

We can be all-out in ministry, serving, giving, showing up, and doing the work, but if we are no longer connected to the Source, we will eventually run empty.

A past encounter with God is not enough to carry us until the end. Yesterday’s fire needs today’s surrender. Renewal is not optional, it is needed every single day!

The anointing is sustained in the place of resting in the Lord’s presence. Before we pour out, we must first come to Him and be filled again.

Connect to the Source.
Receive fresh oil.
Come to God, He is waiting.

Abide first, and be filled.

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine.”

“Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near… let him return to the Lord, that He may have compassion on him… for He will abundantly pardon.” — Isaiah 55:6–7

The Kingdom of God is an invitation, an invitation to seek Him, return to Him, and experience abundant pardon and abundant life.

Many people prioritize temporary things, but the Lord calls us to seek Him first. His invitation is urgent because opportunities do not stay forever. We do not control tomorrow, so we must respond while He is near.

God calls us to repentance, a true change of heart, mind, and direction. Real transformation begins inside and produces a new life.

The beautiful thing about the Kingdom is this:
God does not call people back to condemn them, but to restore, forgive, and bless them.

No matter how big the sin is, His mercy is greater.
His forgiveness overflows with grace.

Forgiveness is not the end, it is the beginning of a transformed and abundant life in Christ.

Many know about God but never truly experience His Kingdom because they refuse to seek, return, and receive His mercy.

Today, the invitation is personal.
Return to the Lord and be forgiven.
Return to the Lord and be restored.
Return to the Lord and be blessed.

“…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” - Isaiah 40:31

Those who seek are those who hope in the Lord.
Those who grow renew their strength.
And those who overflow run and do not grow weary.

The Kingdom life begins with seeking. As we seek God, we grow. And as we continue growing, our lives begin to overflow naturally.

Being aligned with God’s Kingdom means living beyond mediocrity. We are called to seek, to grow, and to overflow.

Mediocrity is settling for less instead of pursuing God’s best. It is living without hunger, avoiding commitment and obedience, having faith but no fire, choosing comfort over calling, believing in God yet remaining spiritually stagnant and unfed by His Word.

We cannot stay the same person we were when we first started seeking Him. Survival is not the goal. We are called to be continuously transformed into His likeness.

We avoid mediocrity by:
✨ Seeking — actively pursuing God daily and asking to be part of what He is doing. Not only when it’s convenient, but consistently. The depth of seeking determines the depth of finding.

✨ Growing — moving from glory to greater glory. Growth is hindered by comfort zones, lack of discipline, sin and compromise, worldly distractions, and spiritual pride.

✨ Overflowing — allowing our lives to bless others by sharing the Gospel, serving people, living as witnesses, and demonstrating Kingdom culture.

This requires a consistent prayer life, hunger for God’s Word, obedience, right fellowship, active faith, and regular evaluation of our spiritual walk.

Like eagles, we rise by staying connected to God. When we remain connected to Him, we will never run empty. We remain hungry for growth, walk in obedience, and live beyond ourselves.

Remember that the very wind that challenges you may also be the wind God uses to lift you higher. 🦅

Burnout does not always come from having too much on your plate. It comes from trying to carry everything on your own and control every outcome.

You are not the Source.
You are not the Creator.
Breathe.
Surrender.

God never asked us to hold the weight of the world, only to trust Him one day at a time.

True rest flows from our relationship with Him, not from having everything figured out.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28
