🕌 The first prayer at Centro Islâmico An-Nur de Braga

*Today the first congregational prayer* was offered in our new centre. A room that was empty a few weeks ago is now a place where Allah’s name is remembered.
“In houses which Allah has ordained to be raised, and His name to be mentioned therein — glorifying Him therein in the mornings and the evenings.” (an-Nūr 24:36)
And the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” (Bukhārī 450, Muslim 533)
*This is the beginning, not the end* — there is much work ahead, and every one of you has a share in it.

🕌 The first Adhān has been called at Centro Islâmico An-Nur de Braga

Today, for the first time, the call to prayer was raised in this space.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Nothing hears the range of the mu’adhin’s voice — neither jinn nor man nor anything else — except that it will bear witness for him on the Day of Resurrection.” (Bukhārī 609)

These walls have never heard it before. Today they did, and they will testify to it.
Alhamdulillah. May Allah accept it from all of us and make this a house that is never empty.
