The Holy Thursday Service, held at Presbyterian Church Zaman Park Sheikhupura, was a deeply spiritual and meaningful gathering as believers came together to commemorate one of the most significant events of the Christian faith. Holy Thursday, also known as Maundy Thursday, reminds us of the Last Supper of our Lord Jesus Christ with His disciples, where He instituted the Holy Communion and gave the commandment of love.
The service began with heartfelt worship and praise, creating an atmosphere of reverence and devotion. Special scripture readings were shared, focusing on the sacrifice, humility, and love of Christ. Today, on 29th March 2026, the congregation of the Presbyterian Church gathered with great reverence and joy to celebrate Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week.This blessed day reminds us of the triumphant entry of our Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, where people welcomed Him with palm branches and shouts of “Hosanna,” honoring Him as King.
The worship service began with prayers and the reading of Holy Scripture, focusing on Christ’s journey of love, humility, and sacrifice. Special hymns were sung, and the congregation participated in praising God with thankful hearts. Palm branches were symbolically remembered as a sign of victory, peace, and devotion.
The message delivered during the service emphasized that Palm Sunday is not only a celebration of joy but also a reminder of the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It calls believers to prepare their hearts for the events of Holy Week, reflecting on His death and resurrection, which are central to our faith.
