Kot Baloch

Kot Baloch http://mbdin.net/index.php/tehsil-mandi-bahauddin/74-kot-balouch My sweet village (KOT BALOUCH) is located at 9 KM north from Mandi Bahuddin. (Ex. LLB (D.S.P. LLB.

The Main bus stop of Kot Balouch is called 8-RD. It was very famous during British rule due to it's organized bazaar and local markets, which was under the control of Hindu community. Its name is given after the name of some balouch tribes who came this place for the first time many years ago along with their families and animals "camels", they live there beside the river (Corner of river Jhelum w

ere up to kot balouch in past) and that location was very suitable for shelter. So, they spent 6 months and go back to their native areas for winter season then after some years some Jatt Gondal families also came from Sohawa area (near Mandi-bahauddin) and they started agriculture work and built some temporary houses in order to start living there. But after some years balouch families left the area and till now it's name is Kot Baloch. At present time there is no Balouch in this village. Furthermore, as I have studied that there were also some other tribes in this village before Balouch because we found many things during excavation of land/plot which shows that some peoples were living there but due to some flood or earthquake they died or left the area but no body has complete information about this. Population of Kot Balouch is over 6500 including lokri (small daira of kot balouch). Literacy rate is over 85%. The peoples of the village are mostly loving, caring and friendly e.g. during Maila of Baba Noor Shah many peoples came from other villages and they spend 2 to 3 nights in kot balouch without any relation, only for the sake of Allah Almighty and that, they are our guest. Our Gondal families open the doors of their hawaili/baithak and put bed (Chaarpi) for these guests and refresh them accordingly. Maila Baba Noor Shah

Baba Noor Shah was a famous Wali Allah who preaches the non Muslims and spread the Islam. Every farmer sends one day milk of their buffalo to Mazar Baba Noor Shah after birth of Kattee/Katta (calf). The Main event in this maila is Horse racing and horse shows. Also on this event there is free kabadi and local kushti. Horse racing is very popular in our village and one of our village player Ashraf Gondal is famous in district as well as in Pakistan number one horse rider . This maila is one of the best entertainment for our formers, where many kind of house hold items are available as formers do not need to go to the market frequently. So, our formers bhai can buy their required items from this market and enjoy to watch cinema, beside this Death well and many others Shows are held in the mela . Now it has been under the control of Punjab Government
