Welcome, Month of May – The Month of the Holy Rosary

May this blessed month draw our hearts closer to Our Lady as we meditate on the life of Christ through the Holy Rosary. Let every bead be a prayer, every mystery a step deeper into God’s love, and every moment an offering of faith.

“The Rosary is the weapon for these times.” –

May the Blessed Virgin Mary intercede for us, guide our families, and fill our lives with peace, grace, and unwavering faith. 🙏

Feast of St. Joseph the Worker – 2026
Today we celebrate St. Joseph the Worker, a model of humility, dedication, and honest labor.
Through his simple yet faithful life, he reminds us that every task done with love and sincerity is valuable in the eyes of God.
On this special day, let us pray that:
God may bless our work, strengthen our commitment, and guide us to serve our families and communities with faith and integrity.
“St. Joseph, pray for us and bless the work of our hands.” 🙏

The month of May is here. 🌸🙏
Have a Blessed Month of the Blessed Virgin Mary!
May, the Month of Mary, is not just a tradition—it’s a deliberate spiritual focus. The Church sets this time apart to direct attention to Mary’s role in salvation, not as a replacement for Christ, but as the one who leads directly to Him. If devotion doesn’t deepen your relationship with Christ, you’re missing the point. Practices like the Rosary and offerings such as Flores de Mayo aren’t rituals for the sake of culture—they are tools meant to discipline your prayer life, sharpen your focus, and ground your faith in something consistent and intentional.
But here’s where most people get it wrong: admiration without imitation is useless. Mary’s greatness isn’t in titles—it’s in her obedience. Her “yes” came without full understanding, without guarantees, and with real cost. That’s the standard. If this month doesn’t push you to act with more trust, more discipline, and more faith in uncomfortable situations, then it’s just decoration. Use this time properly—realign your priorities, strengthen your prayer habits, and stop treating devotion as passive. Mary points to Christ. Follow that direction seriously, or you’re just observing, not living.

BEGIN THE MONTH OF MARY BY PRAYING THE ROSARY
When we pray the Rosary, we ask Mary to pray for us as we seek to grow closer to her Son Jesus by contemplating His life, death, and Resurrection.
The month of May invites us into a deeper relationship with God through the loving guidance of the Virgin Mary. Beginning this sacred time with the Rosary is not just a tradition—it’s a deliberate step toward spiritual growth. Each decade of the Rosary draws us into the life of Jesus, allowing us to reflect on His mysteries with focus and intention. Mary’s role isn’t passive; she actively leads us closer to Christ, shaping our hearts to become more faithful, patient, and trusting. If you treat this devotion casually, it will stay superficial—but if you commit to it daily, it becomes a powerful discipline that transforms how you think, pray, and live.

MAY 1ST IS FILLED WITH CELEBRATIONS!

✓ Feast of St. Joseph the Worker
✓ First Friday Devotion to Sacred Heart
✓ First Day of Flores de Mayo, Mary’s Month

May 1 is a beautiful day of faith, devotion, and thanksgiving. The Church honors St. Joseph the Worker, reminding us that honest work has dignity and can become an offering to God. Through St. Joseph’s humble example, we learn that holiness can be found in daily responsibilities, quiet sacrifice, and faithful service.

This day also leads us closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the source of mercy, love, and healing. At the same time, the beginning of Flores de Mayo invites us to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary throughout the month of May with prayer, flowers, and devotion. Together, these celebrations remind us to work with love, trust in Christ’s heart, and walk under Mary’s gentle guidance.

April 29 falls on a Wednesday—a day marked by devotion to the Mother of Perpetual Help and the feast of Saint Catherine of Siena.

This day holds special significance in the Church as a time for prayer and reflection.

Wednesdays are traditionally dedicated to honoring Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a cherished title of the Virgin Mary. Many believers turn to her on this day, bringing their burdens, fears, and hopes, trusting in her constant care and intercession. She reminds us that we are never abandoned in our struggles, always guiding us closer to her Son, Jesus, with renewed faith and confidence.

At the same time, the Church celebrates Saint Catherine of Siena, a woman known for her profound faith, courage, and wisdom. Living during a period of great turmoil, she became a powerful voice for truth and unity, helping lead others back to God through her example and words. Her life proves that even in difficult times, a single person grounded in faith can have a lasting impact.

This day calls us to grow deeper in prayer, to seek God sincerely, and to follow the examples before us—Mary’s gentle and faithful guidance and Catherine’s bold and unwavering trust in God. May we place our lives in God’s hands with the same faith and courage.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us.
Saint Catherine of Siena, pray for us.

O Holy St. Anthony gentlest of Saints, your love for God and charity for His creatures made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me (request).
O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms. The gratitude of my heart will ever be yours.
Amen.

PRAYER FOR MY FAMILY’S PROTECTION AND BLESSING
Heavenly Father,
we place our family into Your loving hands.
Surround our home with Your divine protection
and keep us safe from all harm and danger.
Lord, bless each member of our family
with good health, peace of mind,
and strength of faith.
Fill our hearts with love.
patience, and understanding
so that we may always live in
unity and kindness.
Protect us from every evil.
guide our decisions,
and lead us in the path of truth
and righteousness.
May Your grace
dwell in our home,
and may Your Holy Spirit
strengthen us to trust in You
in every moment of our lives.
Through the intercession
of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
St. Joseph, and all the saints,
keep our family safe
under Your care.
We ask this through
Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Why this prayer matters
This prayer isn’t just decorative religious language—it’s structured around core human needs: safety, unity, moral direction, and emotional stability. It systematically addresses external threats (“protection from harm”), internal dynamics (“love, patience, understanding”), and long-term guidance (“path of truth and righteousness”). That combination is what makes it powerful—it’s not vague optimism; it’s a focused request covering physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of family life.
More importantly, it reinforces responsibility. While it asks for divine protection, it also implicitly pushes the people praying it to live in alignment with those values—unity, kindness, and wise decision-making. Without that behavioral follow-through, the prayer becomes empty repetition. Used properly, though, it functions as a daily mental reset: reminding a family what actually matters and how they should act toward each other.

APRIL 26 IS GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY!
This Sunday invites us to reflect more intentionally on Jesus as the Good Shepherd—a symbol of unwavering love, guidance, and sacrifice. Unlike someone who only works for pay and abandons the flock in danger, the Good Shepherd remains. He watches over, leads, and ultimately gives His life for His sheep. This reveals a love that is deeply personal, consistent, and unconditional.
Being known by the Shepherd goes beyond simply being part of the flock. It means we are fully seen in our hardships, understood in our flaws, and loved despite our imperfections. In a world that often feels chaotic or uncertain, this truth is grounding: we are not left on our own. Christ continues to call each of us personally, urging us to recognize and follow His voice above all others.
This Sunday also highlights the importance of praying for vocations. Just as Christ shepherds His people, He calls others to continue His mission—priests, religious, and dedicated lay leaders who serve with compassion and integrity. It’s a moment to pray for open and courageous hearts willing to answer that call.
At the same time, this message isn’t limited to a few. Everyone is invited to reflect the role of a shepherd in daily life. In families, workplaces, and communities, we’re called to care for others—to listen with attention, guide with wisdom, forgive generously, and serve without selfishness. Being a “good shepherd” means choosing compassion over indifference, patience over criticism, and presence over neglect.
May this Good Shepherd Sunday deepen our trust in Christ’s faithful care and move us to share that same love with those around us.
