Taking inspiration from Photo Walks across the globe, we have taken the initiative to organize the Lahore Photo Walk which we hope would become an annual event. Whether you own a dSLR or a phone camera, the Photo Walk is open to all photo enthusiasts who want to explore the city. It’s a social photography event where photographers get together (usually in a downtown area or trendy section of town)
to walk around, shoot photos, and generally have fun with other photographers. It is also often done as a method to practice and improve one’s own photography skills by interacting with fellow photo-walkers. When is the 1st Lahore Photo Walk? The first Lahore Photo Walk was held on Sunday, 20th November 2011. Participants captured the culturally rich heritage of Lahore at Hazoori Bagh, Badshahi Mosque and the Lahore Fort. We plan to organize more photo walks in the future. We'll update our page and website (www.lahorephotowalk.com) regularly. So what am I supposed to take pictures of? What ever you find interesting. Try to look beyond the obvious and see what the casual pedestrian doesn’t, than capture it in your camera. There’s color and shapes, and patterns. The sky is the limit. Do I have to stick with the group? This isn’t a paid tour and no one will be taking attendance at the end. Remember though that one of the purposes of doing this with a group is the interaction with other photographers. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to chat it up with others on the walk. There will probably be photographers of differing skill levels and you might be able to learn something, teach something, or just make some new friends. What has been best thing about Photo Walk? This is totally a social event, and that’s what makes it so much fun. Participating photographers would be able to learn new tips n tricks and shoot stills like they've never done before. Photo Walks are infectious, because when you get that many creative people together, who all have the love of photography in common, you can’t help but have a great time. I have a question or issue that isn’t addressed here. How can I contact you? You can email us [at] [email protected], and we’ll help you out as quickly as we can.
