Acts 3:19 Explanation
Verse:
"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out."
This verse is part of an important sermon by Peter in Jerusalem. He calls people to repent and turn to God so they may receive forgiveness and a new life.
1. "Repent" (A Commitment to Leave Sin Behind)
Repentance is not just about feeling sorry; it means completely changing one's behavior.
The original Greek word "μετανοεῖτε" (Metanoeite) means "a change of mind and heart"—not just verbal apologies but a transformation in actions.
God wants us to turn away from sin and pursue righteousness.

💡 Lesson: Repentance is not just words but a true transformation in life.
2. "Turn to God" (Returning to the Lord)
After turning away from sin, we must return to God.
It is not enough to just leave sin; we must learn to live according to God's will.
Turning to God means aligning our lives with His commandments and following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

"Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon."
💡 Lesson: We must not only turn away from sin but also draw closer to God.
3. "So That Your Sins May Be Wiped Out" (Complete Forgiveness)
When we sincerely repent and turn to God, He completely erases our sins.
"Wiping out" does not mean just forgiving; it means removing sin as if it never existed!
God gives us a new life, free from the chains of sin.

"Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
