St. Monica was born in 331 A.D. in North Africa. She was married to a pagan official and endured much suffering with patience.

Through her constant prayer and tears for over 17 years, she converted her husband, her mother-in-law, and most importantly, her son St. Augustine - who was once living a wayward life.

St. Augustine was baptized by St. Ambrose in 387 A.D., and St. Monica died peacefully that same year, knowing her mission was complete.

She is venerated as the ๐๐š๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง ๐’๐š๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐–๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐€๐›๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž ๐•๐ข๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฌ.

Today we remember St. Bartholomew, also known as Nathanael in the Gospel of John.

Jesus Himself testified about him: _"Here is a true Israelite... incapable of deceit."_ John 1:47

A fearless missionary, he preached the Gospel in India and Armenia, and gave his life for Christ through martyrdom by crucifixion, head downward.

The Church is not built on human strength, but on Peterโ€™s confession of faith and on Christ Himself โ€“ โ€œthe Rock.โ€ When our faith is strong, no power of this world can shake us.

Today Jesus gave St. Peter the ๐Š๐ž๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Š๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ง. This reminds us that the Church has been entrusted with the authority to teach, to forgive sins, and to guide people to God.

Jesus said, _"the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it."_
Father reminded us that even in difficult times, the Church will never fall because Christ Himself protects it.

Let us renew our faith. Just as Peter said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,' let us also witness to our faith through our lives. We are all living stones of the Church. Let us support one another in love and service so that our parish may continue to grow stronger."_

August 22nd, the Catholic Church honors Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth.

This feast was officially established by Pope Pius XII on October 11, 1954 in the encyclical _Ad Caeli Reginam_ - "To the Queen of Heaven".

Why do we call Mary Queen?
Because Jesus is King of Kings, His mother shares in His kingship. But her queenship is not about power. It is about grace, love, and intercession.

As the Theotokos - "Mother of God" proclaimed at the Council of Ephesus 431 A.D., Mary said "yes" to God's plan and became the vessel of our salvation.

In Revelation 12:1 she is seen: _"a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head."_

She is our Gate of Heaven who prays for us and leads us to her Son.
