Requiem Mass for Mother Guistina Aquillina FCJ

On 16 August 2026, a Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Hyderabad, in loving and prayerful memory of
Mother Guistina Aquillina FCJ by His Excellency Bishop Samson Shukardin, Bishop of Diocese of Hyderabad.

The celebration brought together the Sisters, clergy, friends, and faithful to give thanks to God for her missionary life and to commend her soul to the loving mercy of God.

We continue to pray: “Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.”

With deep sorrow and profound gratitude, we pay tribute to our beloved great missionary,
Sr. Justina Aquilina FCJ who has returned to the loving embrace of the Father. Her missionary journey was a living witness to the Gospel. Through her prayer, compassion, and tireless dedication, she touched countless lives, especially the poor, the sick, the marginalized, and those in need of hope. She embraced the Franciscan spirit of simplicity, joy, and selfless service, becoming a beacon of Christ's love.

May the Lord whom she loved and served so faithfully welcome her into His eternal peace. May her soul rest in the joy of God's presence, and may her missionary spirit continue to inspire future generations of FCJ Sisters.

This seminar aims to deepen the understanding of Christian leadership in religious communities, fostering a spirit of servant leadership rooted in the Gospel, attentive listening, discernment, collaboration, and compassionate service. It will provide an opportunity for reflection, learning, and sharing experiences to strengthen leadership within our communities and ministries.

"Whoever wishes to be first among you must be your servant" (Mark 10:44).

May this seminar inspire and equip our Superiors to lead with the heart of Christ, serving their communities with faith, hope, and love.
