On 21 June 2012 unanimously adopting the 17-point code of conduct drafted back in year 1995 aimed to create harmony among different sects and the religio-political parties of the country. MYC was revived, with Qazi Hussain Ahmed as its Head. This decision was taken at “Ummah Unity and Islamic Solidarity” conference in Islamabad organized by Jamaat-e-Islami .Nearly 40 leaders and representatives
of political, religious parties and groups participated in the conference. Sahibzada Dr abul khair Muhammad zubair is presiding MYC since death of Qazi Hussain ahamad and Mr. Liaqat baloch is serving as secretary general of organization since that time. MYC Commissions:
MYC announced to establish four commissions.
• Jummah Sermons Commission.
• Reconciliatory Commission.
• Recommendations Commission for Islamic Ideology Council.
• Academic & research Commission. Objectives:
MYC is neither electoral alliance nor a political grouping. It’s going to be an ideological platform which will work for safeguarding national interests and guide the nation in religious matters. MYC would try to settle sectarian differences and bring different schools of thought close to each other. MYC will also lobby for the implementation of the recommendations of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), the apex constitutional body which advises the government on the Islamic status of the country’s laws. MYC will counter the onslaught from secular forces and Western cultural invasion. MYC will protect the Islamic ideology of Pakistan. MYC will take initiative and form a mechanism necessary to harmonize the voices coming from the country’s mosques. The aim of MYC is not to unify all Islamic schools of thought. Any faction has its own believes and the area for the confrontation of Islamic factions and their principles is completely scientific in nature. Such confrontations should not necessarily leave any effect in the real life and in the scene of politics. MYC aims to advocate unity in contemporary times and will take strides to foster unity. MYC also emphasized on the need for Shiites and Sunnis to be pragmatic. At present, it is obligatory for all Muslims to agree on the main principles of the sacred religion of Islam, learn lessons from all hardships they have suffered at the hands of foreigners, say goodbye to division, and form a united front.”
MYC will always stress on the need to get rid of prejudices “Islam has not forced its followers to follow a certain school of thought. MYC will highlight the miseries being face by the Muslims across the globe and propagate & preach that Islam is the religion of peace and blessings for the all mankind. MYC will try to rebuild image of Islam & Muslims at international level and expound that followers Islam are the messengers of love the tolerance. MYC will welcome and support any message and idea which would lead to unity between different denominations.
