This is Pentecost Sunday. Do you know what we’re celebrating? You can read about it in the Bible in the book of Acts.After Jesus’ death and resurrection before he ascended to heaven he told his disciples in Acts 1 to wait until they recieve power from on high. Then in Acts 2 we read how they were praying and worshipping together when suddenly a mighty rushing wind came into the room and the believers began to speak in languages they did not know. There were many Jews in Jeruselem because it was a feast day. They all heard the believers speaking in their mother tongues. There were also small flames over the believers heads. In short… A MIGHTY MIRICLE!!! Peter told the people what was happening and about Jesus and why he came. That day 3000 people Came To know the Lord. The church was born and been meeting regularly together ever since. That is a lot to celebrate.
