This post reminds me of Jesus' teaching in John 13:35, and Paul's use of the word "charity" instead of "love" in 1Cor 13. Charity is not charity until the person who benefits from our love receives that love in whatever form it is presented. Regardless, charity is love that has transferred, or jumped, from one person TO another.
Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Love that births action/works.
Faith that births action/works.
The test of a person's claim to love is not their words, but whether they can remain disconnected from you when they KNOW you are hurting... and they have it in their power to make the situation better for you.
Love cannot sit by and allow you to suffer without taking action.
Likewise true faith cannot sit by idly... for faith demands action, even if the action which it demands is a refusal to act because it understands that God has things firmly in control.
