Title: SERVING
📖 Philippians 2:5–8

What a beautiful reminder of what it truly means to serve like Jesus. 💛

Through John 13:3–5, we witnessed the heart of Christ….full of humility, love, and compassion, as He washed the feet of His disciples. The King who chose to serve reminds us that genuine greatness is found in humility and selfless love.

And in John 13:14–15, we are encouraged to follow His example by serving one another with willing hearts, kindness, and grace. May we continue to carry the heart of a servant in every place God calls us to be. 🤍

This Sunday, as we celebrated Mother’s Day, we took a short break from our sermon series to honor the beautiful strength, enduring love, and unwavering faith of every mother. 🌸

Through the life of Mary at the foot of the cross, we were reminded of a mother’s quiet yet powerful strength….a strength that stays even in pain, a love that endures through every season, and a faith that continues to trust God despite uncertainty.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

To every mom who feels tired, unseen, or stretched …thank you for standing, loving, praying, sacrificing, and trusting God for your family. Heaven sees every tear and every silent prayer. 🤍

Indeed, true strength is not pretending to be okay, but remaining faithful while trusting God in the middle of life’s hardest moments.

Her life was a beautiful testimony of joy, warmth, and love, touching many through her cheerful spirit. Though our hearts grieve, we also celebrate the precious memories and legacy she leaves behind.

With deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance, we mourn the passing of our beloved Nanay “Ganda” Fe Nena. 🕊️🤍

Nanay Ganda was a joyful soul whose presence brought warmth and light to many lives. She loved singing, dancing, and having conversations that made people feel welcomed and loved. Her laughter, stories, and cheerful spirit became a beautiful part of every gathering, and her kindness left lasting memories in the hearts of those who knew her.

Though her voice may now be silent and her seat may be empty among us, the joy she shared and the love she gave will continue to echo in our hearts forever. Truly, she lived a life that touched many people with gentleness, joy, and compassion.

On behalf of the entire JAMC Don Perfecto Family, we extend our deepest sympathy and prayers to the bereaved family. May the Lord surround you with His comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time. We grieve with you, stand with you, and pray that God’s unfailing love will carry you through the pain of this loss.

As we come to the Lord’s table, we pause and remember.

Jesus, in perfect humility, gave His body and poured out His blood for us (1 Peter 2:21–23). In His sacrifice, we see both suffering and surrender, love in its purest form. Let us lay down our pride, receive His grace, and allow His kindness to lead us back to Him (Romans 2:4).

And as we partake, we are reminded…this is the life we are called to replicate. Let every heart bow low..not in shame, but in awe. Let gratitude rise like incense. Let surrender bloom where pride once stood.

For in this sacred exchange, we do not just remember Christ, may we also become more like Him. ✝️💜

As we begin our new sermon series, REPLICATE, we step into a quiet yet powerful truth, Lesson 1: HUMILITY.

Like a seed buried beneath the soil, humility does not shout for attention, yet it is the very thing that allows us to grow into the likeness of Christ. We’ve learned that humility comes in different forms… natural, humbled, contrived, and intentional. Some emerge effortlessly, others through life’s breaking moments, and some must be chosen daily with courage and sincerity.

True humility is not weakness, it is strength under surrender. It is seen in the way we respond, the way we serve, and the way we decrease so Christ may increase within us. Yet, we must be watchful of the subtle red flags of pride, the quiet desire for recognition, the resistance to correction, the unseen elevation of self.

Scripture reminds us that humility is often forged in the fire:
✨ In suffering, we follow the footsteps of Christ (1 Peter 2:21–23)
✨ In discipline, we reap what we sow and are shaped with purpose (Galatians 6:7; Hebrews 12:2)
✨ In kindness, we encounter God’s gentle leading to repentance (Romans 2:4)

And as children of God, humility is not just a calling, it is our posture. For in humbling ourselves before the Lord, we are lifted by His hand (James 4:10).

May our hearts be like soft soil…ready, willing, and open to be transformed. May we choose humility not just in words, but in every thought, action, and hidden place of our lives.

We believe God is calling each of us to not just follow but to replicate the life, love, and mission of Jesus wherever we go.
