How you can pray for Iraq:
The nation is ruled by Islamic law, and religious freedom is non-existent. Persecution of Christianity is widespread.
Moreover, the nation has been scourged by war and terrorism from Islamic extremists. Although Christianity has had a continual presence in Iraq since the first century, Christians are only a tiny minority of the population and are greatly oppressed.
Pray for the church in Iraq: For the nation to be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14); for believers to be delivered from perverse and evil men (II Thess. 3:2).
